I’m a dealmaking demon.
You don’t know what that is?
Well, let me explain.
When a witch or warlock wants something really badly, they can summon me and make a deal with me.
In exchange for my help, I get their soul.
It’s a pretty sweet gig, if you ask me.
I get what I want, and they get what they want.
It’s a win-win situation.
The only downside is that I have to wait until they die to collect their soul, but that’s not too big of a deal.
I’ve got plenty of time.
And besides, it’s not like I’m going anywhere.
I’ve been around for thousands of years, and I’ll be around for thousands more.
Soul's Bargain: A Demon's Deception
The room materialized around me, dimly lit and thick with the scent of incense.
I stepped forward, my boots echoing on the stone floor.
A young man stood before me, his eyes wide with a mix of fear and determination.
"Ezra Hart," I said, my voice smooth as silk. "You summoned me."
He swallowed hard, his Adam's apple bobbing in his throat.
"Y-yes," he stammered. "I need your help."
I smirked, intrigued by his audacity.
"Do you now?" I circled him slowly, my eyes never leaving his face. "And what is it that you need so desperately?"
Ezra's gaze darted around the room, avoiding mine.
"It's... it's someone close to me," he said finally. "I need to save them."
"Someone close to you?" I echoed, my interest piqued. "How touching."
He flinched at my tone but didn't back down.
"Please," he said, his voice trembling. "I'll do anything."

I stopped in front of him, leaning in close.
"Anything?" I whispered.
He nodded, his eyes filled with desperation.
"Yes."
I could sense his urgency and vulnerability, like a predator sensing its prey.
"And what kind of power are we talking about here?" I asked, my voice low and menacing.
Ezra hesitated, his hands clenching into fists at his sides.
"I need... immense power," he said finally. "Immediate power."
My eyes gleamed with interest.
"Interesting," I said softly. "Very interesting."
I straightened up, a smile playing on my lips.
"I think we can come to an arrangement," I said.
Ezra's eyes widened with hope.
"You mean it?"
"Oh yes," I said, my smile widening. "But it will come at a price."
His face fell slightly, but he nodded resolutely.
"I understand."
I conjured a parchment and quill out of thin air, holding them out to him.

"Sign this contract," I said. "And the power you seek will be yours."
Ezra's hand trembled as he took the quill from me.
He looked at the contract for a moment before signing his name at the bottom.
As soon as the ink dried, I felt the familiar rush of energy that came with sealing a deal.
"Congratulations," I said, taking the contract from him. "Your wish has been granted."
Ezra looked down at his hands, flexing them experimentally.
"I don't feel any different," he said, frowning.
"Oh, you will," I assured him. "Just give it time."
Suddenly, the door burst open and a group of armed men stormed into the room.
"There he is!" one of them shouted, pointing at Ezra.
Ezra's eyes widened in panic as they closed in on him.
"What is this?" he demanded, turning to me.
I shrugged nonchalantly.
"It seems your enemies have found you," I said.

I watched with a smirk as Ezra's eyes widened in shock and exhilaration.
"What did you do to me?" Ezra demanded, his voice trembling.
"I gave you what you asked for," I replied coolly.
The room crackled with tension as Ezra struggled to control his new abilities.
He glanced at his hands, which were now glowing faintly with an eerie light.
Suddenly, the door burst open again, and Elara stormed in, her eyes scanning the scene.
"Ezra, what have you done?" she cried out, her voice filled with both fear and anger.
Ezra turned to her, his expression conflicted but resolute.
"I had no choice," he said, his voice steadying. "I needed the power to save us."
Elara's gaze shifted to me, her eyes narrowing with suspicion and disdain.
"You made a deal with him?" she spat, pointing an accusatory finger at me.
I raised an eyebrow and offered a mocking bow.
"At your service," I said with a smirk.
Elara's face twisted in anger.
"Do you have any idea what you've done?" she shouted at Ezra.
"You've damned yourself!"
Ezra took a step toward her, his expression softening.

"I did it for you," he said quietly.
"For us."
Elara shook her head, tears welling up in her eyes.
"This isn't what I wanted," she whispered.
The frozen men began to stir, their limbs twitching as they fought against the invisible bonds holding them in place.
Ezra turned back to them, panic flashing across his face.
"I don't know how to control it," he admitted.
I stepped forward, my presence commanding attention.
"Focus," I instructed him.
"Feel the power within you and bend it to your will."
Ezra closed his eyes, taking a deep breath.
Slowly, the glow around his hands intensified, and the men froze once more, their movements ceasing entirely.
He opened his eyes and looked at me, a mixture of relief and fear in his gaze.
"Good," I said approvingly.
"You're learning."
Elara moved closer to Ezra, her expression softening slightly.
"We need to get out of here," she urged him.
"This place isn't safe anymore."
Ezra nodded, glancing around the room one last time before turning back to me.
"What happens now?" he asked.
I smiled enigmatically.
"Now you live with the consequences of your choices," I said simply.

Elara grabbed Ezra's hand and pulled him toward the door.
"We'll figure this out," she promised him.
As they left the room, I watched them go with a sense of satisfaction.
Another soul bound to me, another deal sealed.
But as the door closed behind them, I couldn't shake the feeling that this was only the beginning of something much larger.
The air in the room seemed to hum with residual energy from Ezra's newfound power.
The frozen men remained motionless, their expressions locked in various states of surprise and fear.
I walked over to one of them and examined his face closely.
The raw potential in Ezra was impressive; he had barely scratched the surface of what he could do.
With a flick of my own wrist, I released the men from their frozen state. They collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath and looking around in confusion.
"Go," I commanded them sharply. "Tell your masters what you've seen here today."
They scrambled to their feet and rushed out of the room without a second glance back at me.
Alone once more, I allowed myself a moment of contemplation.
Ezra Hart had made his choice; now it was time for him to face whatever came next.
