Whispers of Unknown.com

Scenario:date made: Friday, Jan 10th, 2025 9:58 pm date and location where story takes place:At 2:33 AM on Friday, October 13th, in a small, remote town in Hephzibah, Georgia creepypasta name: Unknown.com Jake was a tech-savvy teenager with an insatiable curiosity for the obscure corners of the internet. One night, as he scrolled through forums and dark web threads, he stumbled upon a URL that caught his attention: unknown.com. The comments were sparse but filled with warnings. "Do not visit," one read. "It knows too much," said another. His curiosity piqued, Jake couldn't resist. He typed the URL into his browser and hit enter. The screen went black for a moment before the site loaded. It was minimalist, just a black background with a single prompt: "Enter your name." Jake hesitated but ultimately typed his name and hit submit. The screen flickered, and a message appeared: "Welcome, Jake. We've been expecting you." Chills ran down his spine. He tried to close the browser, but the window wouldn't respond. The site continued to load, revealing a series of video clips. The footage was of Jake—moments from his life, captured without his knowledge. Some were recent, others from his childhood, including memories he had long forgotten. Panicking, he unplugged his computer, but the screen remained on. A new message appeared: "You can't escape." The room grew colder, and the lights flickered. A distorted voice echoed from his speakers, "Jake, you shouldn't have come here." His phone buzzed with a new notification. It was a text from an unknown number: "We know everything." His blood ran cold as he realized it was a photo of him, taken just moments ago, from outside his bedroom window. Desperate, he grabbed his phone and tried to call for help, but the line was dead. The computer screen showed his own terrified face, and the voice continued, "We're always watching." In a last-ditch effort, Jake yanked the computer from the wall and smashed it against the floor. The screen went dark, but the whispers persisted, echoing in his mind. Jake never spoke of that night again. He abandoned his once-beloved tech, moving to a remote cabin with no internet. But even there, in the dead of night, he could still hear the faint echoes of the website that knew too much.

I was always curious about the dark web.
I spent countless hours scouring the internet for information.
I read about Tor browsers and.onion URLs, but I always came up short.
It always seemed like a myth, something to scare kids into behaving.
That was until I stumbled upon unknown.com.
The site was mentioned in a few threads on 4chan and Reddit.
There were always warnings to stay away, that it was too deep in the darkness.
My curiosity got the better of me, and I had to know what it was about.
I typed the URL into my browser and hit enter.
At first, nothing happened.
Then the screen went black.
A few seconds later, a prompt appeared:
"Enter your name."
I was going to close the browser, but something made me type my name and hit submit.
The screen flickered, and then a message appeared: "Welcome, Jake. We've been expecting you."
I tried to close the browser window, but it wouldn't respond.
Then a video started playing.
It showed me standing in my backyard when I was ten years old.
I was smoking a cigarette I'd stolen from my dad.
I didn't think anyone knew I did that.
