I used to live in a village with my mother.
It was a small village, so there weren't many people.
I didn't have any brothers or sisters.
My father wasn't around either.
I don't remember him leaving or anything.
I just know that I've never met him.
My mother refused to talk about him though.
When I was little, I would ask her questions about him, but she would just ignore me.
As I got older, I stopped asking.
It's not like I really cared about him anyway.
He left my mother and me behind; he must've been a bad person.
My mother was great though.
She worked hard every day to make sure that I had plenty of food on the table.
Sometimes, we would even have leftovers for the next day!
Everybody in the village loved her too.
Whenever someone was sick or injured, she would always go help them no matter what.
She was a really wonderful person.
