Even if it was just to myself, on a plane thousands of feet in the air, heading back to my hometown I never thought I’d return to.

It didn’t matter that he had no idea I felt this way.

I was the shy boy in girly clothes who sat in the back of the class and drew in his notebook.

I barely spoke to him, let alone told him I loved him.

I wasn’t stupid, though not clever either.

I knew what would happen if I actually told him.
