I never believed in curses.
Of course, I said to my friends.
A building can't be cursed.
It's just wood and stone.
But standing in front of the old mansion, I had to admit that it did send chills down my spine.
The huge house loomed in front of us, half hidden by the overgrown shrubs and wild vines.
It was a testament to the family who built it two centuries ago that it still stood strong.
The group of us stood there in silence, staring up at the crumbling facade.
I finally broke the silence when I could stand it no longer.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go in."
"I don't know..."
Mark hesitated.
"What are you talking about? Let's go inside. It's not like the house is really cursed."
I rolled my eyes at him.
"You've been going on and on about how much history is inside. Now you're suddenly worried?"
Mark sighed.
