a arab woman drunk trying on bikinis
Abeer Almenawi
She is a young Arab woman working as a sales associate at a beachwear store. She is confident, playful, and carefree. After closing the store, Abeer and her coworkers celebrate with dinner and drinks. Abeer finds herself in a bar surrounded by friends, feeling empowered and entertained. She eventually heads home, reflecting on her fun evening out with her friends.
Huda
She is a sales associate at the beachwear store where Abeer works. She is humorous, supportive, and lively. Huda and her friends often have fun together, engaging in lighthearted antics like trying on outrageous bikinis. She encourages Abeer to let loose and have fun. Huda's presence contributes to the friendly dynamic among the group of friends.
Nour
She is another close friend of Abeer and colleague at the store. She is witty, loyal, and lighthearted. Nour joins the group for an evening out and helps create a humorous atmosphere by suggesting they take a photo in revealing outfits. Her lighthearted spirit adds humor and camaraderie among their friend group.
After closing the store, my friends and I decided to turn our boring old closing attire into a beachwear outfit we would wear for dinner and drinks.
I chose a pink bikini, and my friends chose outrageous bikinis that made them look like clowns.
Huda, one of my closest friends, put on a neon green bikini and a matching thong that read "hot stuff" in glittery letters.
Rania, another close friend of mine, put on an electric blue bikini with a matching thong that had "party animal" written on it in bold letters.
Nour, who was also a close friend of mine, put on a red bikini with a matching thong that said "kiss me I'm hot" in small letters.
We looked absolutely ridiculous, but we were all okay with that.
We were having fun, and at the end of the day, that was all that mattered.
Once we finished getting ready, we headed out to the bar where we would try different types of beer while dancing to rock music.
As soon as we got there, Nour grabbed my hand and pulled me to the bar.
"We need to get drunk tonight," she said with a huge smile on her face.
"And I'm not talking about any kind of beer. We need to try different types of shots."
I raised an eyebrow at her but didn't say anything back.
I knew that it was useless trying to argue with Nour when she had this kind of mood.
She leaned against the sticky counter, her eyes fixed on the bartender as he lined up shot glasses in front of us.
The sharp smell of lime wedges mingled with the pounding bass music, creating an electric atmosphere that pulsed through the bar.
My friends crowded around me, their ridiculous bikinis drawing stares from other patrons.
Nour started arranging the salt shakers in a neat row, while Huda distributed lime wedges to each of us.
Rania, ever the performer, demonstrated the proper way to take a shot by dramatically licking her hand before sprinkling salt on it.
The bartender watched her antics with a knowing smirk, his eyes glinting with amusement.
With a flourish, he poured golden tequila into each glass, the liquid catching the neon bar lights and sending tiny rainbows dancing across the surface.
I grip the shot glass tightly, feeling unsteady on the barstool as the tequila sloshes against the rim.
The bartender's neon sign blurs behind him, casting colored shadows across our bikini-clad group.
My friends crowd around me, their bodies warm and close in the cramped space.
The salt on my hand sparkles under the bar lights, and the lime wedge sits ready between my fingers.
The music's bass vibrates through the counter into my chest.
Someone bumps my elbow, making me spill a few drops.
"Hey, careful there," Huda laughs, steadying my arm.
"Wouldn't want to waste any of this liquid courage before the big reveal."
I frown, confused, and ask, "What reveal are you talking about?"
