I was born in the Galra Empire, the daughter of a mixed blood family—my father a Galra and my mother a human.
From my birth, my father had wanted me to be a strong leader of the Galra Empire, just like him.
But I had other plans.
I had fallen in love with Keith, the current Voltron pilot.
And it was only possible for a Galra and a human to be together if I were to become the princess of Voltron.
So I waited for Keith to come and take me as his princess.
But before that happened, my father found out about my plan and tried to stop me.
He locked me up in the palace tower, stopping me from leaving and telling me that I would never be a princess of Voltron.
I could only think of one way to escape from this: orchestrating my own death.
Using magic, I made it look as if I had died while trying to escape from the palace tower, even though I was actually hiding in another part of the palace.
Keith had been looking for me everywhere, but he couldn't find me anywhere.
Three years later, my father finally found me.
I had been waiting for so long that I was starting to lose hope.
But he didn't recognize me; he thought that I was just a spirit that he had found by accident.
He took me with him and introduced me to his magic user, Haggar.

I followed Haggar through the dark corridors of the palace.
The only light came from the torches that lined the walls, casting flickering shadows on the ground.
Haggar's crimson robes swept across the floor as she walked, her long black hair swaying behind her.
She was a tall and imposing figure, and I couldn't help but feel a little intimidated by her presence.
We eventually reached Haggar's private chambers, and she pushed open the heavy wooden door.
The room was dimly lit, with candles burning on a nearby table.
The air was thick with the scent of incense, and I could hear the soft hum of magic emanating from the walls.
Haggar gestured for me to enter, and I did so, shutting the door behind us.
My hands were shaking slightly as I reached up to remove the spirit mask that covered my face.
As soon as I did, Haggar's eyes widened in recognition. "Princess Sierra," she whispered, reaching out a hand to touch my cheek.

I flinched away from her touch, but held my ground.
"It's really you," she said, her voice filled with wonder.
I nodded, feeling a mix of emotions swirling inside of me.
"How is this possible?" she asked, her eyes searching mine.
"I faked my own death," I explained, my voice barely above a whisper.
"I knew that my father would never let me leave, so I had to make him think that I was dead. I used my magic to create a spirit mask, and then I hid myself away."
Haggar listened intently as I told her everything that had happened over the past three years.
When I finished, she nodded thoughtfully. "I see," she said, her voice filled with understanding.
"Well, you're here now. And we'll make sure that your father never finds out what really happened."
She walked over to a nearby shelf and picked up a small vial of purple liquid.

"This will protect you from your father's magic," she explained, handing it to me.
I took the vial from her, feeling the cool glass against my palm.
She quickly hid it behind her robes, just as the door to her chamber burst open.
My father's massive frame filled the doorway, his yellow eyes scanning the room suspiciously.
Guards filed in behind him, their weapons drawn.
My heart pounded in my chest as I saw the insignia on their armor - this was his personal elite squad, trained to capture and kill the most dangerous targets in the empire.
Haggar stepped forward, her hands raised in a calming gesture.
"Father," I said, trying to keep my voice steady.
"What are you doing here?"
He ignored me, his eyes fixed on Haggar.
"What is going on here?" he demanded, his voice low and menacing.

Haggar didn't flinch.
"Nothing, sire," she replied, her voice calm and steady.
"I was simply tending to a patient."
"A patient?" he repeated, his voice dripping with skepticism. "Yes," she said, gesturing to me.
"This young woman is under my care. She has been injured and is in need of medical attention."
My father's gaze shifted to me, his eyes narrowing as he studied me.
I could see the suspicion in his expression, and I knew that I had to be careful.
I had spent years perfecting my ability to deceive others, but my father was no ordinary man.
He was a Galra prince, and he had a keen eye for spotting lies.
I forced myself to remain calm, meeting his gaze steadily.
"I'm just a healer," I said, keeping my voice steady.
"I'm here to help those in need."
My father's expression didn't change, but I could sense a flicker of doubt in his eyes.
He knew that I was hiding something from him, but he couldn't quite put his finger on what it was. "Very well," he said finally, turning back to Haggar.
"But if I find out that you are harboring a fugitive here, there will be consequences."
Haggar nodded, her face expressionless.
"Of course, sire," she said.
"I understand."
My father turned and left the room, his guards following close behind him.
As soon as they were gone, Haggar let out a sigh of relief.

"That was close," she said, turning to me.
"But we're safe now. You can stay here with me until we figure out what to do next."
