The sound of gunfire was deafening as the bullets flew in every direction.
I could hear the screams of the innocent people who were caught in the crossfire.
I could see the fear in their eyes as they ran for cover.
I could smell the smoke from the guns and I could taste the blood that was being shed on this very day.
I had been waiting for this moment for a long time and now that it was here, I was ready to give it my all.
I had been training for this day for years and now that it was finally here, I wasn’t going to let anything stop me from taking down these motherfuckers once and for all.
I looked over at my friends who were fighting alongside me and I knew that they felt the same way that I did.
We had been through a lot together and we had lost a lot of good people along the way but we weren’t going to let their deaths be in vain.
I had a plan and I was going to see it through, no matter what it took.
I was going to put an end to the 16th Street Crew, no matter how many of them I had to kill to do it.
The crew was a gang that had taken over the city of Washington, DC and the surrounding areas and was responsible for most of the violence that had been happening lately.
They had killed many people over the years and they didn’t care who they hurt along the way.
They were nothing but a group of thugs who thought they could do whatever they wanted to whoever they wanted, whenever they wanted.
But I wasn’t going to let that happen.
Not on my watch.
We moved quickly through the silent streets of Washington, DC as we made our way toward the building where the 16th Street Crew was holed up.
We were all dressed in black combat clothing and we were all heavily armed.
We looked like an all-black combat group as we moved through the city with purpose.
The only sound in the city was the distant sound of sirens and traffic as we moved closer and closer to our target.
I could feel my heart pounding in my chest as we got closer and closer.
I looked over at my friend Marcus Greene, who was walking next to me, and he gave me a quick nod before turning his attention back to the task at hand.
Marcus was a weapons expert and he had been in the military for most of his life.
He had seen a lot of combat over the years and he knew how to handle himself in a firefight.
I had known him for as long as I could remember and he was one of the most stoic people I had ever met in my life.
He never let anything get to him and he always stayed focused on the task at hand no matter what the circumstances were.
That was one of the reasons why I had chosen him to be on this mission with me.
I looked over at my other friend, Lisa Thompson, who was walking on my other side.
She was about five feet tall with curly brown hair and she was probably one of the most compassionate people I had ever met in my life.
She was also a lot quicker-witted than most people gave her credit for and she always knew how to make me laugh when I needed it the most.
She looked up at me with her big blue eyes and gave me a bright smile before she grabbed my hand and gave it a light squeeze.
“You look nervous,” she said with a playful smile on her face.
“Why would I be nervous?I asked with a smile on my face as well.
“I don’t know,” she said with a shrug of her shoulders.
“Maybe because there’s going to be a shootout soon and you’ll have to save my life again?”
I gave her hand a light squeeze before I let it go and turned my attention back to the task at hand.

“I know that you won’t, but you’ve saved me so many times that I’m starting to think that you might have a little crush on me,” she said with a playful smile on her face.
“I do have a crush on you,” I said with a smile on my face.
“The truth finally comes out,” she said with a smile on her face as well.
“It’s about time.”
I shook my head and laughed before I turned my attention back to the task at hand.
“Are you ready?”
Lisa asked as she looked up at me.
I nodded and smiled before I turned and started walking toward the building where we were supposed to meet up with the rest of our group.
“Just remember, we’re not here to play games,” I said as I looked over at Lisa.
“If things get too out of hand, I want you to stay behind me and Marcus, okay?”
She nodded and smiled at me before she ran ahead of me and Marcus.
She had been trained as a medic and I knew that she would do whatever it took to save everyone who was there that night.
She was one of the bravest people I had ever met and I knew that she would do whatever it took to save everyone who needed her help, no matter what it took.
That’s one of the reasons why I had chosen her to be on this mission with me as well.
I watched as she ran ahead of us before I turned and started running toward her as well.
We were getting closer and closer to our target and I could feel my heart pounding even harder in my chest as we got closer and closer.
We were only a few yards away from the building when I saw Marcus stop in his tracks and I stopped as well.
“Marcus, what’s wrong?”
“Are you freaking serious?”
Marcus asked as he turned his head and looked over at me.
“We’re about to go up against one of the most dangerous gangs in this city and you’re asking me if I’m serious?”
“This is no time for jokes, Jon,” he said with a stern look on his face.
“I need you to stay focused on what we’re doing right now because if you don’t, then people are going to die.
If you’re not ready for this, then tell me now because I don’t want you screwing this up.”
I could see that he was angry with me for what happened earlier but I didn’t have time to deal with this right now.
We were only minutes away from reaching our target and I didn’t want anything to get in the way of us completing our mission.
“I’m fine,” I said as I gave him a quick nod before I started walking toward the building again.
“Do you trust me?”
he asked as he put a hand on my shoulder and stopped me from moving any further.
“We’ve been through a lot together, Jon, and you’ve been there for me when I needed you the most. You’re one of the best people that I’ve ever met in my entire life and you have a bright future ahead of you, but if you’re not ready for this, then tell me now.”
“Do you trust me?”
I asked as I looked into his eyes and saw the confidence that he had in me.
He gave me a quick nod before he removed his hand from my shoulder.
“Then let’s do this,” he said as he gave me another quick nod before he turned his attention back to the building and started walking toward it as well.
As we got closer to the building, we could see that there were people standing outside smoking cigarettes and talking to each other.

At first, they didn’t know how to react but then they both drew their guns and pointed them at us.
We’re not here for any trouble,” Marcus said as he held his hands up in the air.
“We’re just here for a couple of questions.”
“Who are you guys?”
one of the men asked as he looked at us with suspicious eyes.
“We’re the last line of defense against all of the chaos and violence that has engulfed this city,” Marcus said with a determined look on his face.
“And if you get in our way, then we’re not going to hesitate to put a bullet between your eyes.”
The man looked at us for a moment before he lowered his gun and motioned for us to follow him inside the building so that we could talk somewhere more private.
“About damn time,” Marcus said with a sigh of relief before he motioned for us to follow him inside the building so that they could talk somewhere more private.
We quickly followed him inside the building and then down into the basement where they were keeping all of their drugs and weapons.
“We came here for a reason,” Marcus said as we walked down the hallway and I thought about how this is where it all started.
“As you can see, my friends and I are very serious about making sure that you guys don’t get away with it,” he said as he looked around the room and took a deep breath before he turned and gave us a quick nod.
“I want you guys to send a message to all of your friends out there that we’re not playing around,” Marcus said as he gave us another quick nod.
“We didn’t just come here for revenge, we came here to make sure that our kids have a future without fear, and we’re going to do whatever it takes to protect them,” Marcus said as he gave us another quick nod.
“This will all be over in a matter of minutes,” Marcus said before he walked over to the door and opened it and we quickly followed him inside.
As soon as we walked inside, we saw that there were men sitting around a table counting money and we quickly pointed our guns at them and told them to put their hands up.
A few seconds later, I heard the sound of more footsteps coming toward us and I saw that some more people were coming inside the room.
“Don’t let them get away!”
I yelled as I started shooting at anyone who came inside the room while Lisa started shooting as well.
We were so focused on our targets that we didn’t even notice when more people started coming inside the room until Marcus told us that they were coming from behind us.
We quickly turned around and started firing our weapons at them while Marcus kept shouting out orders and telling us where they were coming from.
I could see the fear in their eyes as they tried to run away from us but I wasn’t about to let them escape now.
I kept shooting at them until I saw that they were all dead and then I took a deep breath before I turned around and saw that everyone else was dead as well and I knew that we had done it.
We had struck fear into the hearts of these criminals and dismantled their operation once and for all.
