Guardian Marcus
the other armored guardian, relationship with Prince Elric and Seraphina, broadshouldered with black armor and a stern face, brave and skeptical.
Guardian Seraphina
one of the two armored guardians, relationship with Prince Elric and fellow guardian, athletic build with silver armor and sharp features, loyal and protective.
"Almost there," I mutter to myself.
I’m running late, thanks to a mob of reporters.
They’d cornered me in the parking lot of the grocery store where I’d been shopping with my guardians, and it took them a while to realize I wasn’t going to give them any sound bites.
Eventually, they got bored and left.
Now, I’m sprinting up the driveway of the secret headquarters where I work.
It’s not every day the son of an alien king is summoned back to the mothership, after all.
I’d been enjoying a few days off, but now I have to go back and see what the big cheese wants.
I’m flanked by two armored figures.
On my left is Guardian Seraphina, who was assigned to me when I first became the prince.
On my right is Guardian Marcus, who was assigned to me later.
We all look like we’re going to a costume party dressed in black leather and armor.
Except we aren’t going to a costume party.
