Yohan is a korean boy student who's in love with his close best friend Koushi, also a boy...
He didn't mean to falling in love with him, honesty he tried to eliminate that feeling but there was no way because after all they know everything about the other, EVERYTHING.
and a silent day on his house he He comes across a scene that leaves him frozen; his best friend Koushi is reading his diary... and on that diary he writted about THAT feelling.
I’m in love with my best friend.
I know, I know.
It sounds cliché.
I’m not supposed to fall in love with the guy who sits next to me in class and shares his food with me and listens to me whine about my crushes and introduces me to new bands and helps me with my Japanese homework and thinks "Grape" is a hilarious insult.
Especially not when he’s straight and has a girlfriend and everything.
But here’s the thing.
He’s my best friend.
And I can’t help how I feel.
I tried, okay?
I tried not to think about how hot he looks when he runs on the track team, or how his hair curls at the nape of his neck when it gets humid out, or how his eyes crinkle at the corners when he smiles, or how his voice rumbles when he sings along to his favorite rock bands in the car.
I stood frozen in the doorway, my eyes fixed on Koushi's face as he read the words that I had poured my heart into.
His eyes widened, and his eyebrows shot up, a look of confusion etched on his features.
I felt like I was going to throw up, my heart racing in my chest as I realized that he was reading the most intimate thoughts I had ever written.
Koushi's gaze slowly rose from the diary, meeting mine, and for a moment, we just stared at each other.
I couldn't bear the intensity of his gaze, the weight of his eyes on mine.
"M-must study," I stuttered, turning around and making a hasty retreat out of the room.
I didn't dare look back, fearing what I might see in Koushi's eyes.
Over the next few days, I made it a point to avoid him at school.
I took different routes between classes, avoiding the familiar path we usually took together.
I sat with Minji during lunch, trying to focus on her chatter about her favorite K-drama.
But my mind kept wandering back to that moment, to the look on Koushi's face as he read my diary.
Minji noticed my distraction, her brow furrowing in concern.
"Hey, Yohan, is everything okay?" she asked, her voice soft and gentle.
I forced a smile, nodding hastily as I gripped my pencil tightly.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine," I lied, trying to sound convincing.
But Minji's eyes lingered on mine, and I knew she didn't believe me.
Suddenly, the classroom door burst open, and Koushi strode in, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on me.
As Koushi's eyes locked onto mine, I felt a jolt of panic.
My heart skipped a beat as he approached with determination, ignoring the whispers around us.
"Yohan," he called, his voice steady yet urgent.
I hesitated, glancing at Minji for support, but she only nodded encouragingly.
Koushi reached me, grabbing my hand firmly.
"I have... I have classes!" I stammered, trying to pull away.
His grip tightened, and he leaned closer.
"Stop lying. Come with me," he insisted, pulling me out of the classroom.
The sounds of the classroom faded into the background as we navigated the crowded hallways, his hold unyielding.
I stumbled to keep up with his long strides, my heart racing like a wild animal.
The fluorescent lights above flickered, casting an eerie glow on the rows of lockers we passed.
We weaved through clusters of students, their curious gazes following us like a trail of breadcrumbs.
Koushi's fingers wrapped around mine like a vice, refusing to let go.
I tried to tug free again, but he held fast, his eyes fixed on some unknown destination ahead.
The air was thick with tension, heavy with unspoken words.
We burst through the double doors leading out of the main building, and the cool afternoon air hit me like a slap in the face.
The sun cast long shadows across the courtyard, stretching out like skeletal fingers.
Koushi pulled me toward the old oak tree, its branches twisted and gnarled with age.
Suddenly, he stopped dead in his tracks, his chest heaving with a deep breath.
Koushi released my hand, his eyes locked onto mine with an intensity that made my heart race.
"Yohan, we need to talk," he said, his voice steady but urgent.
I swallowed hard, nodding slightly, unable to find words.
The rustling leaves of the oak tree filled the silence between us.
"About the diary... it's just... just something," I blurted out, trying to dismiss it.
Koushi shook his head, stepping closer.
"No, it's not just something," he replied firmly.
His gaze softened as he continued, "I want to understand."
My pulse quickened as his sincerity pierced through my defenses.
The sunlight filtering through the oak tree's branches cast dappled shadows on Koushi's face, making him look like a Renaissance painting come to life.
I felt like I was drowning in the depths of his eyes, unable to look away.
The air was heavy with anticipation, the only sound the distant chirping of birds and the creaking of the old tree's branches.
Koushi's hand reached out, his fingers brushing against mine, sending shivers down my spine.
I didn't pull away, frozen in place as he took another step closer.
His breath whispered against my ear, "Why did you write those things, Yohan?"
My heart skipped a beat as his warm breath sent goosebumps down my neck.
Suddenly, a loud shout echoed across the courtyard, breaking the spell between us.
"Koushi! Wait up!"
We turned to see Minji running towards us, her ponytail bouncing behind her.
Koushi's eyes never left mine as he called out, "Just a minute, Minji!"
But Minji didn't slow down, her eyes fixed on us with a mixture of curiosity and concern.
I felt Koushi's grip on my hand tighten as she approached, his eyes flashing with determination.
