Jamie's boyfriend who is also friends with Sarah and Emily from school days, muscular build with short black hair and few tattoos.

Jamie's other close friend from school days, dating a girl named Lisa, tall with straight blonde hair, outgoing and adventurous.

Jamie's best friend since childhood, single but has a crush on Alex, petite with curly brown hair, loyal and protective.

I woke up feeling rather lazy.

It was a Saturday morning, so I had no reason to hurry.

I had no plans for the day, so I just lay there, staring at the ceiling and thinking about nothing.

My phone buzzed on the nightstand beside me.

I picked it up and read the text from Sarah: "Hey, wanna meet up for brunch?"

I typed back, "Yeah, where?"

Sarah suggested a place not too far from my house, so we agreed to meet there at 11am.

I got out of bed and started getting ready.

I showered, did my hair (which was long and girly, much to the surprise of many people who saw me), and put on some casual clothes.

After I was done, I took a photo of myself and sent it to Sarah with the text "See you soon!"

She responded with "Lookin' good, Hart!"
