I was born on the 25th of April, 1995.
My name is Sarah Harrington.
I am the daughter of James and Elizabeth Harrington.
James Harrington is the CEO of Metaconstructions, which is one of the biggest construction companies in the country.
Metaconstructions builds skyscrapers, roads, bridges, and other forms of infrastructure all over the country.
The company belongs to my father and his brothers.
They are five brothers who inherited the company from their father, who also founded the company.
I have four brothers: two older and two younger than me.
We are five siblings in total.
My parents are very rich and so are my uncles and their families.
All my life I've been living in luxury, comfort, and happiness with my family.
I have everything I need and want.
I am loved and spoiled by my parents beyond measure.
I have a good heart, a kind and naive personality, which makes me loved by everyone that knows me.
I am also very determined when I set my mind on something.
I have a BA degree in business management, which I got from one of the best universities in the country.
I am working in Metaconstructions as a high-ranking executive alongside my parents and uncles.
Twins Swap Lives
I walk through the marble-floored hallway of the headquarters of Metaconstructions, my heels clicking against the polished surface.
The sound echoes through the empty hallway, making it sound like I'm walking faster than I actually am.
The hallway is lined with glass walls, giving me a view of the city outside.
The sky is gray and cloudy, matching my mood perfectly.
I've just found out something about Stacy that makes every step heavier than usual.
I stop outside the main conference room and straighten my navy blazer before entering.
I glance at myself in the glass wall to make sure I look professional and composed.
Five generations of Harringtons have held meetings in this room, and I always want to make a good impression.
The room is filled with the familiar faces of my family members.
My father sits at the head of the long mahogany table, his brothers on either side of him.
Twins Swap Lives
My brothers file into the room and take their usual seats around the table. I clear my throat to signal that I'm ready to begin the meeting.
As I reach for my phone to put it on silent mode, it buzzes with an incoming text message from Stacy.
I silence it without reading the message and place it on the table in front of me.
My hands are shaking slightly as I open the quarterly report folder and begin to speak.
"Good morning, everyone," I say, trying to keep my voice steady.
Twins Swap Lives
"Let's start with the quarterly report. As you can see from the numbers, we've had a successful quarter. Our profits have increased by 10% compared to last year. We've also secured several new contracts that will keep us busy for the next few months."
As I speak, I glance around the room to make sure everyone is paying attention.
After the presentation, I need to decompress and slip away to Murphy's Bar on 5th Street.
It's a quiet spot where I can sit alone and enjoy a drink.
I order a gin and tonic and take a seat at a corner table near the window.
The afternoon sun casts long shadows through the glass, illuminating the dust particles that dance in the air.
I sip my drink slowly, watching people walk by on the sidewalk outside.
Some are in a hurry, while others stroll leisurely, enjoying the warm breeze.
I pull out my phone and check my emails, responding to a few messages from work.
As I scroll through my inbox, my eyes wander back to the window.
A flash of neon pink catches my attention - a woman in a tight minidress and platform heels leans against the brick wall outside, taking long drags from a cigarette.
She's talking to someone on her phone, her voice carrying through the open window. As she turns her head to blow out smoke, I freeze mid-sip.
Twins Swap Lives
The woman's face is identical to mine - same brown eyes, same small nose, same full lips.
Even the small scar above her left eyebrow is there.
I stand up abruptly, nearly knocking over my drink, and rush outside.
"Who are you?" I demand, my voice a mix of confusion and urgency.
She looks at me with a smirk and says, "I'm your sister, Sarah. The one they never told you about."
