MidReal Story

Timebound Agents: The Timeline Fixers

Scenario:David Clayton – INTP, 24 years old, only child, half-orphan since the age of two, and his mother worked forever. You could say that Dave spent more time at Chris's than at his own home when he was younger. He has grown into an individualist and a natural leader, although he is afraid of any responsibility. He lives in the moment and doesn't look back. In general, he adheres to the principle of "carpe diem". He devotes himself fully to his work and pays no attention to his private life. He lives alone, rents a small but cozy apartment, but he doesn't spend much time there. Basically, the place looks like any cave for a young adult just out of their teens. The kitchen is crap, and in the living room there is a large TV, a console and a mini gym. As an agent, he has access to a teleporter, so he has no problem with getting around, so he didn't buy a car. It can be said that his life revolves around the work he loves, which excites him and to which he devotes most of his time. Christopher Murray - ISFJ, 24, is the oldest of three siblings (two sisters), his parents earned quite a lot, and he learned responsibility while growing up. He was quite good with children, which certainly helps his relationship with Dave. He is not very assertive and always let his friend talk him into doing stupid things that he would never do on his own. It was because of him that he went to college and because of him he joined the agency. It certainly also mattered that he was a patriot, but not as much as every American, but even more so. Initially, he wanted to join the army, but ended up becoming an agent. Despite this, he tries to somehow organize his life outside of work. He has a fiancée and they are planning a family. They have a charming house on the outskirts of town. Moreover, he is a sports car fanatic and spends much of the money he earns on cars. They are useful to him because the boy hates all teleports and uses them only when necessary. However, he loves his job, but treats it like a job. He does his job, always on time, but after hours he does other things. Kyle McClair – ISTP, 17 years old, only child, his father is an American, a high-ranking soldier always on the move, his mother is British, she doesn't work because she doesn't have to. The boy spent his childhood in England, but when it turned out that he was a little genius, they moved to the United States so that he could go to college at the age of eleven. He loves building inventions and can spend hours sitting with gears and screws. He also developed an interest in computers. For the first years of his life he was very sociable, then he began to distance himself more and more from his peers and spent more and more time alone with the computer. His father's salary was enough for them to live well, so the young man had everything he wanted. Then he started hacking, writing website codes and stuff like that. He chose this type of studies and not others because he always liked unconventional thinking, and moreover, it is a young industry and has much greater development potential than others. Currently, what he cares about most is being noticed and finding people who think similarly to him. The year is 2120. A global epidemic is breaking out in the world. Some bacteria or something eludes the researchers and the whole ride starts all over again. Lockdown, no contact, all the madness we've just had to deal with. Of course, times have changed, and therefore the fight against the pandemic is different than now. However, what is important here is that people stayed at home. There's a visionary out there. A guy with a brain. Because he has too much time locked in his house, he sits and creates inventions. After some years, he creates his life's work. Time travel. But he doesn't have much time to enjoy it, because as soon as he realizes what the guy is working on, the American government busts him. They sign a confidentiality clause, receive almost unlimited funds and assistance, and the innocent project turns into a thriving underground company. The year is 2146. People have almost forgotten about this dangerous American virus that has been wandering around the world for twenty-six years. They just got used to it. The vaccines that the pharmaceutical companies came up with worked, the mortality rate was limited to about five percent, but overall no one cared much about it. When it stopped being a hot topic, everyone started wondering if anyone had died from this crap. As for our little research. Officially, there is such a thing as the Time Academy (the name will change, or I won't see what happens with it). Why does it exist officially? Well, because time travel officially exists for research. They say that "yes, we don't interfere in anything, we just jump in time to do research, develop etc. MEANWHILE, the truth is slightly different. Of course, there are also those who are involved in research. There are actually the most of them. However, there are also outstanding individuals. People who stand out from the rest, people who get the opportunity to work in the most dangerous and exciting profession in the world. There are already departments or departments that deal with various things. For example, the time anomalies section and others that I can't think of right now because I'm lost in my sleep xD. Our main characters work in this best of the best, i.e. the section where the guys directly go back in time and change history. and when it comes down to it, China is not even sending a representative, which is a huge affront to all of America, which cannot ignore it. Dave and Chris get a quick mission to sort this out. According to me, I know that this company is young, but since they are super creative, they get such epic orders like "guy, take care of it". Either way, they get the hang of it and manage to create a situation in which the Chinese send their representatives. The boys, pleased with themselves, return to their own times and run into bombers. Beautiful American bombers resembling flying saucers flying over Shang-hai. They move back to their place and find out what they have done. Overall, China's envoy contracted this virus and infected the US president and key officials. And since politicians are politicians, it turned out that these people were obviously not vaccinated and the president died. It was considered an assassination attempt and a casus belli. And everything had to be repaired again. Daniel joins the team. An outstanding seventeen-year-old, a genius from England. The boy who went to college as a shit. A technical genius, of course, and not like those two. If someone gave him three gears and told him to build a rocket, he would still have parts left. He's like Q in this team. He's supposed to be responsible for gadgets that can be useful in various situations, that's a plus Guys need to solve this problem. After a looong thought, David comes up with a brilliant idea. You have to break the rules xD. I mean, you have to give David what's his. He grew up without his father because he died of a virus when he was two years old. And that's probably where this crazy idea came from. Even though the guys were well aware that they shouldn't go further back than 2124, they ignore it. David decides that nothing bad will happen if they get rid of the pandemic. How many lives will this save? HMM? Exactly. So that's what they do. Another big action. Stopping the pandemic in 2120. They knew the virus had arrived in America. Daniel did some digging in secret databases and found information that this virus originated from escaping from a laboratory. One boy made a stupid mistake, knocked over a test tube and a global pandemic stonks. Easy as hell job. Just stop your friend from going to work that day. Banality. Well, it worked out. Fast ball and the guys go back to their times. And that's when we get to the actual plot. And here you will have to think more about your life. Because, because, and because the guys return to a different reality. To a reality where the entire academy of time and their work does not exist. Because no pandemic = no free time = no research on time teleportation. And now they are stuck in those times and have to return to the status quo.

I was born in 2122.
In 2146, the year I turned twenty-four, I graduated from college as an economist.
My best friend Chris graduated the same day with a degree in physical education.
We both got jobs in the same company.
I was processing data, and he took care of the employees' fitness.
Two months later, he came to me and asked if I wanted to go for a beer after work.
I said sure and went home to change.
When I got to his place, I was greeted by a guy who looked like a supermodel.
He was tall, had sharp features and broad shoulders.
His hair was styled perfectly.
He introduced himself as Kyle, seventeen years old and Chris's new roommate.
After a quick drink, we decided to go for another one.
Kyle joined us.
The next day I moved in as well.
