I'm Thomas the Tank Engine.
I live on a branch line on a small island, which is home to lots of other trains like me.
The Fat Controller runs our railway and makes sure everything is just right.
He is very good at his job and we all respect him very much.
I have lots of friends and I love chugging along my railway, going over bridges, through tunnels, and along the coast.
Sometimes I get into trouble, but I always learn my lesson and try my best to be a good little engine.
Here are some stories about my adventures and those of my friends.
Come and read all about us!
THOMAS AND HIS FRIENDS
Season 32
Thomas"Thomas! You're late again!"
I chugged as fast as my wheels could take me.
"Sorry, Sir! I'll try to do better next time!"
The Fat Controller sighed.
"I hope so, Thomas. You know how important it is to keep to the timetable. Passengers rely on their trains to be on time!"
I panted as I reached the platform.
It was a warm day and I was running low on water.
I really needed to stop at the next water tower to fill up my tank.
"Thomas, you may go now. Take your passengers to Brendam Docks. Then you can stop at the water tower to refill your tank."
"Thank you, Sir!"
I chugged off with my coaches rattling behind me.
Thomas & His Friends
Steam billowing from my funnel, I strained my pistons to make up for lost time.
The coaches swayed and creaked behind me as I thundered down the track towards Brendam Docks.
My water gauge was already at half tank.
Annie and Clarabel complained about the rough ride, but I didn't let that stop me.
I had to stay on schedule.
Thomas & His Friends
The countryside whizzed by in a blur of green and brown.
I could see the sea sparkling in the distance, and Brendam Docks came into view.
I spotted the water tower up ahead, but I was determined to reach the docks first.
I could fill up afterwards, I thought.
Rounding the bend towards the water tower, I noticed something ahead on the mainline.
It was a large, motionless shape.
I squinted through the afternoon sun to make out what it was.
As I drew closer, I realized it was Gordon!
He was standing completely still, not a wisp of steam coming from his funnel.
I slowed down reluctantly, my own water levels getting lower by the minute.
I pulled alongside him, my wheels grinding to a stop.
"What's wrong, Gordon?" "My tender ran out of coal," he replied, his face twisted in frustration.
"I was pulling the express when it happened. Now I'm stuck here until someone can bring me more fuel."
My passengers grumbled impatiently behind me.
Thomas & His Friends
I could hear their murmurs and complaints about being late for their connections.
I debated whether to help Gordon, but my own water gauge was dropping lower by the minute.
The passengers continued to grumble, some even stepping out onto the platform to stretch their legs in frustration.
Through the steam billowing from my funnel, I spotted a flash of red in the distance.
It was James!
He was chugging along the mainline towards us, a coal truck trailing behind him.
As he drew closer, I could see the smug look on his face.
He knew all about Gordon's predicament and was here to save the day.
I felt a twinge of disappointment that I wouldn't be the hero this time.
James pulled up alongside Gordon, whistling confidently as he came to a stop.
"Need some coal, old chap?" he asked, his voice dripping with superiority.

Gordon just grunted in response, his face still twisted in frustration. James began to unload the coal into Gordon's tender.
I watched as the black lumps clattered into his empty fuel compartment.
It would take a few minutes for Gordon to get back up to steam, but at least he would be on his way soon.
With Gordon's rescue well underway, I bid them a quick farewell and continued on my journey to Brendam Docks.
The salty breeze grew stronger as I approached the coast.
But my boiler felt hotter than usual, and I could hear the water gurgling inside.
My wheels wobbled slightly on the tracks, and I knew I was running low on water pressure.
I crawled past the last bend, my steam hissing weakly from my funnel.
Thomas & His Friends
Ahead, I saw Cranky the Crane unloading cargo ships at the docks.
His long, spindly arm swung back and forth as he lifted crates onto the dockside.
I pulled into the station, my wheels scraping against the rails.
The remaining passengers hurried off the train, shooting me disapproving looks.
I rested at the docks, still recovering from my overheated boiler.
But as I waited, I noticed a massive cargo ship pulling into the harbor.
It dwarfed the other boats in the water, its hull towering above me.
The ship's sides were painted with destinations from all around the world: Shanghai, Rotterdam, New York.
Workers bustled around the dock, loading containers onto its deck.
Thomas & His Friends
Through the gaps between the cargo crates, I could see colorful flags of different nations fluttering on the ship's masts.
A strange excitement built in my pistons as I watched sailors from various countries working together, speaking in languages I'd never heard before.
The world felt vast and interconnected, and I realized that my journey was just a small part of something much greater.
