Jacob Silver
He is a member of the Young Avengers with the power to manipulate reality. He is sarcastic, loyal, and selfcritical. Jacob struggles with his unstable powers and the pressure of living up to his father's legacy. He is protective of his friends and particularly fond of his close bond with Kate Bishop. Despite his initial reluctance, he is drawn into a complicated relationship with a woman from his dreams, discovering that she is Teddy Altman's sister.
America Chavez
She is a dimensionhopper with the power to traverse different worlds. She is confident, playful, and adventurous. America captures the attention of her teammates, particularly Kate's interest in her. Her ability proves invaluable during missions, allowing the team to access new dimensions and evade threats. Her lighthearted nature often provides comic relief, but she also takes her responsibilities seriously as a young avenger.
Billy Kaplan
He is the Sorcerer Supreme among his peers in the Young Avengers. He is wise, humorous, and introspective. Billy balances his magical abilities with a downtoearth approach. He often offers insights during challenging situations and grapples with complex emotions, particularly his unrequited feelings for Teddy Altman's brother. His ability to create magical shields helps the team navigate through threats.
The world had changed.
The Avengers were gone.
Some were dead, some were in hiding.
The world was a darker place without them, and the streets of New York City were becoming increasingly more dangerous every day.
But out of the shadows, a new team of heroes emerged.
We were the Young Avengers.
Led by Eli Bradley, who used technology from Tony Stark’s lab to form the team.
I was Jacob Silver, one of the newest members.
I had been a bit of a loner until I joined the team, but I had found my place among them.
I had the power to manipulate reality, but my powers were still unstable and I struggled to control them sometimes.
I could do almost anything with them, but they were hard to use without causing any damage.
Sometimes, I wished I didn’t have them at all.
But I knew that I was lucky to have them, and I was determined to learn how to use them properly.
The rest of the team consisted of legacy heroes and superhero newcomers.
I entered the dimly lit training room after midnight, the only sound being the soft hum of machinery.
The room was large and empty, except for a few holographic targets set up in the center.
I had decided to come here to practice my powers, to see if I could control them better.
I started with small objects, making a pencil float in the air.
Then I made it split into two pencils, and then merge back into one.
It was easier than I thought it would be, so I moved on to larger objects.
I made a chair float, and then I made it disappear.
I tried to make a force field around myself, but it didn’t work.
The energy crackled around my hands, but it didn’t form a shield.
I tried again and again, but I couldn’t get it to work.
I was getting frustrated and angry.
I needed to get this right. Suddenly, the energy around my hands surged and formed a shield.
It flickered and warped, but it was there.
I held it for as long as I could, but eventually it collapsed and sent a shock wave through the room.
The windows shattered and the walls shook.
I quickly shut down my powers and slumped against the wall, panting.
Another failed attempt at creating a force field.
Startled, I scrambled to my feet as Eli Bradley walked into the room.
He stopped and looked at the damage, his expression unreadable.
My cheeks burned with embarrassment.
I hadn’t meant for anyone to see me practicing, especially not Eli.
I didn’t want him to think I was a failure.
He walked over to me and picked up a shard of glass from the floor.
He turned it over in his hand, studying it carefully.
Then he set it down and looked at me.
"Create another shield," he said calmly.
I hesitated for a moment, remembering what had happened last time I tried.
But Eli’s steady gaze gave me confidence.
I took a deep breath and focused my energy.
This time, the shield formed perfectly, shimmering with stability and strength.
