The police took me to the police station, and I was taken to a room.
I didn't know what they were going to ask me until one of the police officers came in with a file.
He looked at the file and then at me.
"Are you Dylan Carter?" he asked.
"Yes," I answered.
"My name is Detective James Mitchell, and I am going to ask you some questions," he said.
"Okay," I replied.
"Did you kill the woman?" he asked.
"No, I didn't kill anyone," I answered.
"I don't know what you are talking about."
"Don't play dumb with me. I have evidence that links you to the crime scene," he said.
"I am telling you the truth.
I didn't kill anyone.
I don't even know the woman that was killed.
I have never met her in my life," I said.
"I believe you, but like I said, I have evidence," he replied.
"Can we talk?" I asked.
"What do you want to talk about?"
"We can talk outside," I said.
"We can't talk outside. Whatever you want to talk about, you can talk about it here," he said.
"I know I didn't kill that woman. I am innocent, and I need you to believe me," I said.
"I believe you, but like I said, I have evidence," he replied.
"We can request a DNA test. If I really killed her, then my DNA will be there," I said.
