Eva Bellona
She is a witch from another realm. She is adventurous, determined, and curious. Eva was tasked with collecting emotional bubbles from humans to save her home. She found herself transported to Earth, where she encountered various humans connected to tarot cards. Her interactions were filled with unexpected events, including being pursued by a mysterious dog and meeting a man who helped her in her mission. Eva struggled to understand human emotions but remained focused on her task.
Marcus
He is a bartender at The Tavern on 10th. He is witty, supportive, and charismatic. Marcus is Myles' close friend and helped Eva interact with humans by providing context to her bizarre behavior. His playful banter with Myles was evident when he jokingly accused him of being in love with Eva. Marcus played a significant role in Eva's journey, allowing her to connect with humans and understand their emotions more accurately during her mission to collect emotional bubbles.
Myles
He is a human who works as a cartoonist for a local newspaper. He is humorous, loyal, and kindhearted. Myles helped Eva in her quest for emotional bubbles and became an unexpected ally. Despite initial confusion caused by Eva's presence, he was supportive and willing to assist her. His relationship with his friend Marcus provided comedic relief, and he was instrumental in helping Eva understand human interactions and emotions during her time on Earth.
I was a witch from another realm.
My home was a garden—a very special one that existed in a different world.
It had been dying for quite some time.
So, I had to go on a trip to capture human emotions and turn them into bubbles.
Once I had enough of those bubbles, I could go back and save my home.
The whole idea sounded simple and easy.
Well, at least that's what I thought.
But it wasn't as easy as it sounded.
First, I had to travel to Earth.
Then, I had to find the right humans.
They were linked to the Major Arcana cards of Tarot.
Each one represented different emotions and personalities.
There were twenty-two cards in total.
And I had to find each and every one of them.
My journey was just beginning.
And so far, it had been quite an adventure already.
I found myself standing on a hill overlooking a city.
I wasn't sure which one it was or where exactly I was.
All I knew was that this was Earth.
The first thing that caught my attention was a dog running toward me.
It was big and scary-looking, with sharp teeth and glowing red eyes.
My heart was racing as I backed away from the snarling beast.
The hill was steep, and there were dense trees to my left, a rocky outcrop to my right, and the city lights far below.
I gripped my wand tighter, knowing that Earth's physics might affect my magic differently.
The dog's low growl grew louder as it stalked closer, drool dripping from its bared fangs.
I spotted a gap between two large boulders behind me.
Taking small steps backward, I edged toward the opening, keeping my eyes locked on the approaching threat.
"Stop right there!" a voice shouted from behind the boulders.
The dog halted instantly, its demeanor changing from menacing to obedient.
A tall figure emerged, cloaked in shadows, and said, "I see you've met Cerberus; he's my guardian and your first test."
I stepped closer to the figure, my wand still raised defensively.
The figure stepped forward, and I realized it was a woman.
She was tall and slender, her long silver hair glistening under the moonlight.
Her face was ageless, with high cheekbones and piercing green eyes that seemed to see right through me.
She wore a long black cloak that billowed behind her like dark wings.
Cerberus sat obediently at her feet, its red eyes now dimmed to a soft glow.
"You have come for the emotional bubbles," she said, her voice low and mysterious.
"I can give them to you, but first, you must prove yourself worthy."
"How do I do that?" she asked.
"Show kindness to my guard dog," she replied, nodding toward Cerberus.
My hands were shaking as I lowered my wand and held out my empty palm toward the beast.
To my surprise, it sniffed my hand gently before licking it with its long tongue. A small pink bubble formed above its head, glowing softly in the moonlight.
I reached up with my free hand and captured it in a small glass vial hanging from my neck.
The woman nodded in approval.
"Well done," she said.
