"Jacob. Jacob! Jacob!"
I heard someone shout my name from a distance.
Yes, that was my dad, Tony Stark.
He was a billionaire inventor and philanthropist.
He was also called Iron Man.
Yes, a superhero.
Coming home to my dad flirting with the most handsome guy on earth wasn't something I would look forward to seeing on a daily basis.
It made me want to hide and never come out of my room.
"Tony. What are you doing?"
I heard my mom ask him.
Looking over at them, I could see him holding hands with Steve Rogers, aka Captain America.
My dad was totally absorbed in talking to him and didn't even notice my mom holding his hand.
She rolled her eyes and let go of his hand when he didn't even notice or react to her.
"Hey honey. How was your day?"
My dad asked me as he walked towards me.
"Good. How was yours?"
I asked her.
I could see Bucky standing in the hallway, leaning against the wall.
His eyes were on me with that teasing glint in them.
"Hey, Jacob," he said with a smooth voice.
My face heated up, but I refused to give him the satisfaction of a reply.
I kept my gaze forward and walked past him without saying anything.
My footsteps echoed in the hallway as I walked to my room.
Behind me, I heard his soft chuckle, but I didn't look back.
I reached my room and closed the door behind me.
The sound of my dad's conversation with Steve was muffled as I sat at my desk.
I stared blankly at the blueprints and gadgets scattered on it.
They were projects that I had started but couldn't seem to finish.
Bucky's words echoed in my mind, and I clenched my fists in frustration.
Tomorrow, I would talk to him.
Enough was enough, and I needed to make it clear that he needed to stop flirting with me.
I started thinking of what to say to him when there was a soft knock on my door.
"Come in."
