Vijay Joseph
adventurous, and protective. Vijay attends his friend's wedding with Surya, disguising as a woman to avoid media attention. He navigates the wedding chaos while maintaining his disguise, often finding himself in comedic situations. Despite the challenges, he enjoys the experience and cherishes the bond with Surya.
Rajinikanth
charismatic, and respected. Rajinikanth plays a pivotal role in guiding Vijay and Surya through their careers while maintaining a paternal bond with them. His presence at the wedding adds significance to the occasion.
Saranya Devi
charming, and supportive. Saranya becomes an ally for Vijay and Surya during their disguise at the wedding by helping them navigate social interactions without revealing their true identities.
"Vijay, how are we going to attend Raja's wedding without the media finding out that we are there?"
I asked my friend and co-star Surya as we stood in our hotel room talking.
We had been invited to attend a dear friend's wedding, but we knew if the media found out that we were going to be there, they would be all over us and we wouldn't be able to have a moment's peace.
We wanted to be able to celebrate our friend's special day without the extra stress and attention.
"It's going to be difficult," Surya said, shaking his head.
"We can't just show up without them recognizing us."
"Can't we?"
I asked, smiling mischievously at him.
"What do you mean?"
Surya looked confused.
I threw back my head and laughed.
"Come on, let's get some stylists in here and have them transform us into two beautiful young Tamil women," I said, chuckling at the thought.
"You can't be serious," Surya laughed, shaking his head.
"Of course I am serious. We will be able to attend the wedding without anyone recognizing us and we will be able to have some fun too."
"I don't know Vijay, are you certain this is a good idea?"
Surya asked, looking worried.
"Come on, let's live a little," I told him.
Surya paced back and forth across the room, his hands fidgeting with the hem of his shirt.
After a few minutes, he stopped and turned to face me.
"Fine," he said, running his fingers through his hair.
"But we need the best stylists in Chennai for this."
I immediately grabbed my phone and dialed Saranya Devi's number.
She would know exactly who to call.
While I waited for her to answer, Surya dropped down onto the bed, still shaking his head.
"If anyone finds out about this..."
He started but I cut him off with a wave of my hand.
"Trust me," I said, just as Saranya picked up.
"You won't regret it."
Twenty minutes later, the stylists arrived at our suite, carrying large makeup cases and several colorful sarees.
Saranya directed them to our room and they immediately got to work.
Two of the professionals were assigned to Surya and two to me.
They started by threading our eyebrows and applying facial masks.
Surya winced as they pulled out his stray hairs but I was fine with it.
I watched in the mirror as they transformed my features with foundation, concealer, and subtle contouring.
The lead stylist then draped me in a midnight blue silk saree with golden borders.
She showed me how to hold the pleats and how to drape the pallu over my shoulder.
When she finished, I looked in the mirror and barely recognized myself.
Surya was wearing a red and green saree with a matching blouse.
He tugged uncomfortably at the blouse, looking like a young woman who had never worn a saree before.
