She enjoys the festivities with friends and family but feels an instant attraction to Jason when they meet. Mia Rodriguez

I was determined to find her.
Whoever she was, their beauty captivated me from the moment I saw them.
The way they moved with the music, the way they smiled and waved at the crowd, it all captivated me.
From the moment I saw her, I knew I had to make her mine.
It didn’t matter if we were on opposite sides of a parade, I was going to find her.
I watched her dance the entire time she was in front of me at the carnival.
She even looked at me for a long time , and then smiled while dancing.
I mean, everything about her was...beautiful.
After the parade, I looked for her everywhere but couldn't find her.
I walked around the entire carnival, looking for her.
I even asked a few people if they had seen her, but no one had.
I was about to give up when I saw her near one of the food stalls, laughing with her friends.
I approached them slowly, not wanting to interrupt them.
She looked up and saw me standing there.
Her smile got even bigger as she looked at me.
I smiled back at her and walked over to them.
"Hi," I said, trying to sound casual.
"Hi," she replied, still smiling at me.
"I'm Jason."
"I'm Lena. Nice to meet you."
She held out her hand for me to shake it, and I did.
"It's nice to meet you too. What brings you here today?"
I asked her.
"I'm here with my friends. We come every year. How about you?" she asked me.
"I'm here on business but decided to check out the carnival. It's a lot of fun."
"Definitely is. Have you been here before?"
"No, this is my first time."
"Well then you have to try some of the food. What do you want? I'll buy it for you," she said.
"That's okay, I'll buy it myself."
"Okay then, let's go get something," she said, getting up from where she was sitting with her friends.
They were both looking at us curiously but still smiling.
They were both pretty women in their own right, but they didn't hold a candle to Lena. "What do you want?" she asked me once we got to the front of the line.
"How about some chicken and waffles?"
"That sounds good. I'll get that too," she said.
We ordered our food and waited for it to be ready.
While we were waiting, we talked a little bit more about ourselves and what we did for a living.
She told me that she worked in a bank and that her friends were coworkers of hers.
When our food was ready, we went over by the ocean and sat down on the sand to eat it.
We talked some more while we ate and then decided to walk along the beach together when we were done.
As we walked along the shoreline, our hands occasionally brushed against each other.
She pointed out a few of her favorite spots along the beach, including a hidden cove where she learned how to swim and a pier where fishermen would bring their morning catch.
The sun was starting to set over the ocean, casting a golden glow over everything.
We walked for a while longer until we came to a quiet stretch of beach.
She stopped and turned to me, shifting her feet in the sand.
Her friends appeared in the distance, waving at us and calling out.
They were gathering driftwood and setting up for a bonfire.
Her eyes lit up as she looked at me and asked if I wanted to join them.
I watched as they set up the fire pit and started the fire.
I nodded, knowing this was just the beginning.
