Elijah Mikaelson and Elena gilbert
Elena Gilbert
determined, and resilient. Elena struggles with her feelings for Stefan Salvatore, a vampire, while navigating her complicated relationship with his brother Damon. She becomes entangled in the supernatural world of Mystic Falls, facing threats from Katherine and the Originals. Her love for Stefan remains strong despite the challenges they face.
Damon Salvatore
sarcastic, and protective. Damon initially dislikes Elena but develops feelings for her over time. He struggles with his own darkness and his complicated relationship with his brother Stefan. Damon's actions often blur the line between good and evil as he tries to protect Elena from Katherine's schemes.
I love him.
Not him.
Him.
Stefan Salvatore and I, Damon Salvatore.
It was wrong to love two brothers, especially when one of them was a vampire.
But life had never been fair to me anyway.
I had to do what I had to do in order to survive in this hell hole called Mystic Falls.
"Are you ready, Elena?"
My friend Caroline Forbes asked me as we stood in front of my closet full of clothes.
My friends were all excited because I was asked out by the most handsome guy in town, but they didn't know the fact that I was also asked out by his brother.
What a mess!
"I love you, Stefan."
I said as I stared into Stefan's dreamy eyes.
I had fallen in love with him for quite some time now, and it seemed like he felt the same way with me.
"I love you too, Elena."
Stefan replied before he kissed my lips softly.
It was sweet, as it always was when I was kissed by him.
I could feel my heart beating faster than usual.
Stefan was definitely the one I wanted to be with in my life.
I sat in front of my vanity, running a brush through my long hair.
I replayed Stefan's kiss in my mind over and over again.
The brush caught on a knot and I winced in pain.
I looked at myself in the mirror, my eyes staring back at me with the same expression as always.
My phone was on the dresser, its screen dark and silent.
I picked it up and scrolled through my contacts.
My thumb hovered over Damon's name.
It was hard to resist the urge to text him, but I knew I had to be strong.
I couldn't let him know how much I missed him.
The memory of his intense stare when we last saw each other made my chest tighten.
I set the phone down face-up on the dresser, but I couldn't stop myself from checking it again a few moments later. A text notification appeared on the screen - from Caroline, asking about tomorrow's plans.
I sighed and stood up, pacing back and forth in my bedroom.
The house was quiet except for the sound of Jeremy's music coming from down the hall.
Stefan's ring sat on my nightstand, a reminder of his trust in me.
But Damon's words from our last encounter echoed in my mind - "You're mine."
I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being pulled in two different directions.
My fingers hovered over the keyboard several times before I finally typed out the message: "Meet me at the old cemetery at midnight. Don't tell Stefan."
I hesitated for a moment before hitting send.
The message flashed "delivered" on the screen, and my stomach twisted with guilt.
