She fears ruining their friendship by confessing her love, leading to internal turmoil and selfdoubt. Despite this, she remains deeply committed to their friendship and hopes to find a way to reconcile her emotions.

Zeph Lin
oblivious, and supportive. Zeph is popular in school due to his good looks and athletic prowess. He values his friendship with Xio deeply but remains unaware of her romantic feelings for him. His carefree nature often leaves Xio feeling frustrated yet drawn to him even more.
I have been in love with Zeph ever since freshman year started.
It's weird, I know.
We've been best friends since kindergarten and now I'm just realizing that I actually am in love with him.
But the thing is, I don’t want to tell him because then he’ll probably leave me.
I don’t want to lose what we have.
We're too close.
Plus, he's really hot and popular in school.
All the girls stare at him when he walks down the hallway and all the guys want to be his friend.
He’s really good-looking and he’s athletic, which makes all the girls go crazy for him.
I always tell him that he’s a balled hog, but he doesn’t care.
He knows that I like him, but not in the way that I do now.
And then there are times when I think that maybe he feels the same way about me.
Like, for example, yesterday when we were walking down the hallway together, he had his arm around my shoulder.
Or today when we were having lunch together and he was playing with my hair.
It gave me a feeling that made me think that maybe...just maybe...he feels the same way.
But then again, we've known each other for so long that it's normal for us to do things like that.
We're best friends, after all.
