Thomas Andrews

He is the shipbuilder of the RMS Titanic. He is meticulous, passionate, and concerned. He inspects the ship multiple times before launch to ensure its seaworthiness. Despite his efforts, he remains worried about the vessel's stability in heavy seas. As the ship sails to England, he remains on board, monitoring the vessel's performance. His hard work and dedication are evident in his attention to detail and desire to create an "unsinkable" ship.

Bethany Wayne

She is a cocaptain on the RMS Titanic. She is intelligent, cautious, and reserved. She has a secret unrequited love for someone on board but does not reveal it. As a woman in a maledominated field, she faces scrutiny but proves her worth through her observations and decisions. If the ship did not sink, she would likely play a crucial role in navigating through any challenges, utilizing her knowledge and experience to ensure the safety of all on board.

Despite warnings about heavy seas, he remains confident in the ship's stability. His relationship with Bethany Wayne is professional, but he trusts her expertise. April 10, 1912
The RMS Titanic sets sail from Southampton, England on her maiden voyage to New York.
On board are Thomas Andrews, who built the ship, and Bruce Ismay, owner of White Star Line.
As co-captain Bethany Wayne watches Captain Edward John Smith navigate the ship out of the harbor, she can't help but think of her secret love for someone on the ship.
No one knows who it is, and she's not telling.
Rumors spread that there will be a storm up ahead, but most people believe the ship is unsinkable.
As the crew inspects the ship and prepares for the long journey across the Atlantic, they begin to realize that something may be very wrong.
Thomas Andrews is frantic about something, but he won't say what.
Bruce Ismay is worried about something, but he won't say what.
Captain Edward John Smith is his usual calm self, but even he seems a bit on edge.
As co-captain Bethany Wayne watches the crew scramble around her, she can't help but wonder what will happen when they reach New York.
Will they make it in one piece?
Or will something terrible happen?
The Unsinkable Love
He stands by the railings, his notebook clutched tightly in his hand.
The shipbuilder hasn't stopped scribbling calculations since we left port.
Through the fog of the evening, I can see that she's being careful to avoid detection.
She waits until other crew members pass before approaching him.
The Unsinkable Love
Andrews startles when she speaks, quickly closing his notebook and glancing around nervously.
Their conversation is tense; Andrews keeps gesturing at the ship's hull while Wayne's face grows increasingly troubled.
I maintain my position but keep a watchful eye on the pair.
Wayne places her hand on Andrews' shoulder, speaking in low tones.
Andrews flips through his notebook, showing her detailed sketches and calculations.
His fingers trace along the drawings while he explains technical specifications and safety measures.
Despite his usual confidence, his voice wavers slightly as he speaks.
Wayne nods seriously, her posture tense.
Just as it seems like she's about to say something else, Ismay appears at the far end of the deck.
Wayne quickly steps back from Andrews, smoothing her uniform.
"Bethany, we can't ignore this any longer," Andrews whispers urgently, glancing over his shoulder at Ismay.
"What exactly are you suggesting, Thomas?" she asks, her voice steady but her eyes betraying her concern.
The Unsinkable Love
"If we don't address these structural concerns now, the consequences could be catastrophic," he replies, his tone heavy with implication.
I maintain my position near the stern, watching Co-captain Wayne hurry across the deck toward the bridge.
She clutches Andrews' notebook against her chest, her usual composed stride replaced by quick, urgent steps.
Her shoulders are tense, and even from a distance, I can sense the urgency in her movements.
As she passes by the railing, she pauses briefly to stare out into the dark waters of the evening mist.
Her hand grips the metal tightly, her knuckles turning white.
The Unsinkable Love
She pulls out Andrews' notebook once more, flipping through pages with trembling fingers.
Just as she's about to reach a specific page, First Officer Murdoch passes by, casting a curious glance in her direction.
She quickly tucks the notebook away, forcing a strained smile that doesn't reach her eyes.
From my position, I watch as Murdoch's unexpected gesture stops Wayne in her tracks.
Her whole body tenses at his touch, but she doesn't pull away.
The notebook remains clutched against her chest as they stand in uncomfortable silence.
Wayne's eyes dart between Murdoch's face and his hand on her arm, her breathing quickening noticeably.
When Murdoch takes a step closer, Wayne abruptly backs away, nearly dropping Andrews' notebook.
The Unsinkable Love
She mumbles something about needing to return to bridge duties and hurries past him, leaving Murdoch staring after her with a mix of hurt and confusion.
