Lisa Manoban here!
I'm one of the members of the famous kpop group 'Blackpink'.
We are currently in our busiest schedule for our comeback concert.
We train almost 12 hours a day and we only have a few more days left.
I woke up with a terrible headache and nausea.
I just brushed it off thinking maybe I caught a cold.
I took some pain relievers before I headed to the practice room.
After a long hour of training, I already felt like puking.
I tried to ignore it, thinking it was just because I was hungry.
But after eating my snacks, the feeling remained.
I was also having my menstrual cramps, but with myself not getting my period yet, I knew something was wrong.
I excused myself to the restroom.
I stayed there for a few minutes until I felt better.
When I got back, our manager was already there and gave an announcement.
"Everyone! Please listen carefully. Our comeback concert will be on next week. Make sure to register your attendance on time. If you're late, don't even think about coming here!" he said sternly.
"Is that all?"
Rosé asked curiously.
"No! The company will be providing your outfits and all. Our comeback song will be revealed tomorrow. Make sure to learn it as fast as you can!"
"Can we ask for one thing?"
"Speak up!"
I slipped into the practice room, my heart pounding against my chest.
The other members were already there, stretching on the wooden floor while our choreographer was adjusting the sound system.
Jisoo was the first to notice me.
Her eyes widened at my pale complexion.
I tried to join their warm-up routine, but the room started spinning.
The nausea hit again, stronger this time.
Chaeyoung reached out to steady me as I stumbled, but I waved her off.
"I'm fine," I said, though my voice trembled.
Rosé exchanged worried glances with the others.
"Lisa, you need to see a doctor," she insisted, her voice leaving no room for argument.
I shook my head stubbornly.
"I'm okay, I just need to rest for a while."
I slipped away from the practice room, heading towards the dressing room.
I collapsed onto the couch, clutching my stomach.
Tears streamed down my face as another wave of nausea hit me.
Jisoo followed me in and closed the door quietly behind her.
She sat down beside me, her eyes filled with concern.
"Lisa, you're scaring me. You're not looking well," she said softly.
I curled up on the couch, my body shaking with sobs.
"I think I'm pregnant," I confessed, my voice barely audible.
Jisoo didn't react with shock or judgment.
Instead, she pulled out her phone and started searching for nearby clinics.
Her eyes scanned the screen before she showed it to me.
"There's an OB-GYN office ten minutes away," she said calmly.
My hands shook as I stared at the address on her phone.
"I can't go there," I protested weakly.
Jisoo's expression turned determined.
"We'll go together. Get your things."
The waiting room of the OB-GYN clinic was cold and sterile, with white walls and medical posters.
Jisoo held my hand tightly as we sat on the plastic chairs, waiting for my name to be called.
I couldn't help but feel a sense of dread wash over me.
This was all too real, too sudden.
I wasn't prepared to face this alone, but Jisoo's presence gave me the strength to carry on.
A gentle knock on the door interrupted the silence of the examination room.
I clutched Jisoo's hand tighter as we waited for the doctor to enter.
The door creaked open, revealing a middle-aged woman in a white coat.
She smiled kindly as she walked in, carrying a tablet and a file folder.
"Hello, I'm Dr. Park," she introduced herself, her voice gentle and reassuring.
I nodded nervously as she took a seat across from me.
Jisoo gave my hand another squeeze of encouragement before releasing it. Dr. Park's gaze fell on the folder in her hands, her eyes scanning its contents.
She cleared her throat before looking up at me again.
"So, Lisa, what seems to be the matter?" she asked softly, her voice filled with genuine concern.
My throat tightened as I struggled to find my voice.
"I've been feeling nauseous lately," I managed to say, my voice shaking slightly.
Dr. Park nodded attentively, her eyes never leaving mine.
"And have you experienced any other symptoms?"
I took a deep breath before continuing.
"I haven't had my period yet this month. And when I was practicing earlier, I felt dizzy."
Dr. Park nodded again, making some notes on her tablet.
"Have you taken a pregnancy test?" she asked gently.
