My husband likes fat arses.
I know this because over the last twenty years of marriage, I’ve caught him looking at numerous fat arses—some belonging to women with gorgeous curves, others sporting saggy, baggy bottoms that are crying out for a pair of Spanx.
I’ve even caught him checking out my own arse on numerous occasions, and I have to admit that I do try to put my best side forward when I know he’s going to be looking.
I mean, who doesn’t?
He also likes a good meal, which is why we’re standing here outside this restaurant, arguing about what kind of food we’re going to eat.
"I don’t want Italian," I mutter, crossing my arms over my chest.
"Why not? You love a good pasta dish."
"Tom, I had pasta for lunch. And besides, I want something different."
He rolls his eyes heavenward.
"Tom, don’t be dramatic."
But he knows as well as I do that Italian food is all about the pasta.
And if I’m being truthful, I can’t eat the stuff twice in one day.

I look across the street to see a small café.
It’s one of those quaint little places that’s open late, and it looks adorable with its warm lighting spilling out onto the sidewalk.
The display window is filled with rows of delicate pastries, elaborate cakes, and what looks like a chocolate mousse cake.
My stomach growls again, despite my protests about not wanting to eat.
Tom follows my gaze and his eyes soften as he sees the chocolate mousse cake.
He’s a sucker for anything chocolate, especially when it comes in the form of a mousse cake.
"Tom," I say, turning to him with a smile.
"I’m not hungry," he says, but I can see his eyes drifting back to the cake.
I know exactly what he’s thinking.
I also know that he’ll be thinking about something else if I do this right.

A young woman walks out of the café and crosses the street, heading in our direction.
She’s carrying a takeout box and she has curves for days.
Her arse is round and plump, and her hips sway as she walks. Tom’s eyes drift to her arse, and I smirk as I watch him check her out.
He knows that I know what he’s doing, but he doesn’t even try to hide it anymore.
He turns back to me with a guilty smile on his face.
"What?" he asks me innocently, but I just shake my head at him with a grin on my face.
I take his hand and tug him toward the entrance of the café across the street from us.
"Alright, Tom," I say, pulling him closer, "how about we split a slice of that chocolate mousse cake and call it dinner?"
He chuckles, squeezing my hand. "You know me too well, but only if you promise not to judge my second dessert."
I laugh, nodding. "Deal, but only if you promise to stop ogling every curvy woman that walks by."

I lead him inside, my heels clicking on the wooden floor as I walk.
I make sure to sway my hips a little more than normal, and I can feel Tom’s eyes on me as we walk.
We’re greeted by a young waitress who has curves that could rival mine.
She smiles at us, her eyes flicking between the two of us before she turns and leads us to a table in the corner.
Tom’s eyes are glued to her arse as she walks, and I clear my throat loudly.
He snaps his head up, looking at me with wide eyes.
"So, what do you think of her assets?" I ask him with a raised eyebrow.
I slide into the booth seat, smoothing down my skirt as I go.
Tom stammers out something unintelligible, his face turning bright red as he slides into the seat across from me.
Before he can answer me, I lean forward and whisper loudly, "Mine’s better, right?"
