The class goes on a treasure hunt
The treasure hunt began.
Each group received a folder with their first set of clues.
We opened our folder and found a map, along with a series of riddles.
After studying the riddles for a few minutes, Jason Li suggested that we divide and conquer.
"We should split up and study the different parts of the hunt. Once we’ve deciphered the riddles, we can meet back here and compare our results."
His plan sounded good, so we decided to split up and study the different parts of the hunt.
I took one of the riddles and went to work on it.
After a few minutes, I had a possible solution.
I compared my results with the others in my group and found that our solutions were similar.
Next, we used our solutions to determine where to go first.
Our first stop was a location on the school grounds.
We had to use our problem-solving skills to figure out how to get past an obstacle, but teamwork paid off and soon we were at our location.
The next clue was hidden behind a bush, which required Emily’s creative thinking to find.
She used her art skills to figure out where the clue would be hidden.
Once we had our clue, we repeated our process from before.
We divided and studied our clues, then compared our results to figure out where to go next.
This process continued throughout the day as we worked through each set of clues and riddles.
As we worked through the hunt, I found myself becoming more and more invested in the game.
