I never thought I’d be a surrogate … let alone for the daughter of my old boss.
When I found out they were looking for a lighthearted, easygoing surrogate, I knew I was perfect for the job.
And getting paid a hundred thousand dollars to do it?
Total bonus.
But little did I know, this would be no ordinary birth.
Elizabeth, my intended mother, is a total free spirit.
She’s twenty-eight years old and an heiress to the Collins family fortune.
And her birth plan?
Absolutely insane.
My name is Sasha Collins, and I’m a 4’11" surrogate from a super wealthy family.
My parents made their fortune in real estate when I was just a toddler.
Growing up, I had everything I could have ever wanted: the best private schools, exotic vacations, designer clothes … even my own Mercedes on my sixteenth birthday.
But all of that changed when I was nineteen.
My parents lost their fortune in a bad business deal gone wrong just as I was starting college.
I had no idea how I would pay for my tuition until a friend suggested I look into surrogacy.
At first, I thought she was crazy … that there was no way I could carry someone else’s baby for nine months.

But then I started looking into it, and I realized how much money I could make.
So, I applied to a surrogacy agency and waited.
I was twenty-two years old when I finally got the call that would change everything.
A couple in their late forties wanted me to be their surrogate, but they had one stipulation: I had to live with them for the duration of the pregnancy.
I agreed, and six months later, I found myself living in a beautiful mansion in Beverly Hills with my intended parents, Mr. and Mrs. Collins.
They were both kind and considerate, and they made sure that I had everything I needed throughout the pregnancy.
But despite their kindness, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off.
And then, one day, I discovered the truth.
The Collins were not just any ordinary couple … they were my biological parents. My mom had given me up for adoption when she was just a teenager, and now, all these years later, fate had brought us back together again.
It was a shock to say the least, but it also explained so much about my life and why things had always seemed so easy for me growing up.

My parents had been looking out for me all along, even if I didn’t know it at the time.
Now, here I am … pregnant with my own half-sister’s baby.
I sit across from Elizabeth at her favorite vegan café on Rodeo Drive, watching as she stirs honey into her chamomile tea.
"So," she says with a bright smile.
"Have you looked over the birth plan yet?"
I nod sheepishly.
"Not yet," I admit.
"I just got it last night."
Elizabeth’s eyes light up with excitement as she reaches into her oversized tote bag and pulls out her rose-gold iPad.
She slides it across the wooden table toward me and taps on the screen to wake it up.

"Here," she says.
"Let me show you." As I take the iPad from her, I notice that Elizabeth’s nails are painted a deep shade of purple to match her lipstick.
Her long blonde hair is pulled back into a loose braid that hangs over one shoulder, and she’s wearing a flowing white sundress that makes her look like an angel.
I glance down at my own outfit—a simple black T-shirt and leggings—and can’t help but feel a little self-conscious next to her effortless elegance.
Elizabeth slides her finger across the screen, opening up the document.
Her purple nails click against the glass as she scrolls through the pages.
I take a sip of my green tea to steady myself before looking at the document.
The first page is a picture of a desert landscape with a circle of white-robed figures standing around what appears to be a birthing pool.
I recognize it as Elizabeth’s backyard in Malibu, where she plans to give birth under the full moon.
"Okay," I say, taking a deep breath and beginning to read.
Elizabeth leans forward in her seat, her eyes shining with excitement as she watches me scan the document.
"This is going to be such an amazing experience," she says.
"I want the birth to be a transformative community experience for everyone involved."
I nod, gripping the iPad tightly in my hands as I continue reading.
The Surrogate's Secret Baby
The first page outlines the basic plan for the full moon ceremony, including tribal drums and a live-streaming setup so that Elizabeth’s friends and family can watch from all over the world. The second page goes into more detail about the birthing process itself, including the use of burning sage and crystal healing to create a peaceful and sacred environment.
There’s also a section about the choir of doulas who will be singing and dancing around the birthing pool to help Elizabeth get into a meditative state.
I raise an eyebrow as I read through this part, wondering what kind of music they’ll be singing and whether they’ll be wearing robes or something else entirely.
The third page is where things start to get really interesting.
It outlines Elizabeth’s plan for a "snake dance" during the ceremony, where she’ll wear a live python wrapped around her body while she gives birth.
