I'm going to meet Reggie for the first time today.
I'm 13, she's 12, and my mom and aunt are taking me to Lumity Island where they are going to stay for a few days.
My 7yearold brother Max is coming too.
We lost our dad a couple of months ago, so this trip is supposed to help us get over it.
The beach near our place on Lumity Island is called Davenport Cove, and that's where I'll meet Reggie and her 9yearold sister Mia.
They live on the island.
Reggie is going to show me some secret places on the island, like a hidden cave you can swim in when the tide is low and the water is calm.
The tide has to be right or the water surges into the cave too fast and strong.
It's not a good idea to swim there when that's happening!
I wonder what it will be like living on an island?
