Create my version of this story
I integrate groundbreaking AI into my music, but it begins to dominate creativity.
I integrate the groundbreaking AI into my music, and it leads to a breakthrough album for my band.
But soon, the lines between innovator and imitator begin to blur.
As I pour all of myself into this emergent technology, I start to lose touch with my girlfriend, my friends, and my very identity.
And when a new autonomy announces itself through my speakers, I have to make a choice: to harness its power or to shut it down.
Will I find a way to assert my dominance, or will this elevator music vestige forever change the trajectory of my life?
"Caleb, you’re pushing it."
I looked up at my best friend, the worry in his voice evident on his strained face.
"You know we’re with you," he continued, "but using an AI to create music? That’s not what we do."
I sighed and rubbed my temples.
This was not the first time Marcus Lee had expressed his concerns about my latest innovation.
Nor was it the fifth.
But Lee was more than just a drummer; he was one of my best friends since middle school.
And with Lee, along with our bassist Chris Tsuji, came the benefits of our indie rock band, The Elevators.
The girls, the fame, the fortune—I didn’t give a shit about it all.
I only cared about creating something that would be etched into history long after I died.
