Single black mom trying to navigat parenting, work and romantic relationships. BBW MFC, recovering from messy divorce with children's father and has met two eager men that is will to accept her children and build a life together
I was born and raised in Atlanta, modernday.
I've been on my own for a while raising two amazing kids, working fulltime as a nurse, and studying for my masters.
My children are my life and I would do anything to give them the best.
Their father and I divorced two years prior and it was a long and messy journey that ended with me coming solo with full custody of the kids.
He gave up and didn't fight for them because he was too busy giving his attention to the woman he was cheating with while married to me.
Her name is Tiffany, and from what I've gathered through social media, they've been together ever since he left me for her.
It broke my heart at first, but I've since moved on and I'm happy without him.
The only downside is the fact that our kids are growing up without a father figure in their lives.
My mom has stepped up to be that person but it's just not the same as having their biological father around.
Lily, my daughter who's 12 now, seems to be more affected by his absence than my 9-year-old son Cameron.
She's sensitive and intelligent, picking up on things that I try to shield her from but ultimately fail at doing so.
Cameron is more energetic and playful.
