Create my version of this story
Eshun
He is a seer with the ability to see into the future. He is curious, determined, and cautious. Eshun discovers his powers at a young age and is drawn into a world of prophecy and politics. He struggles with the weight of his knowledge but uses his gift to guide those around him. Despite the dangers, Eshon remains resolute in uncovering truth and justice, even when faced with uncertainty and fear.
Aku
He is Eshun's mentor and guardian. He is protective, wise, and stern. Aku takes Eshun under his care after discovering the boy's remarkable abilities. He teaches Eshun how to control his powers and guides him through the complexities of being a seer. Aku's relationship with Eshun is paternal, marked by both deep trust and firm discipline. His own past as a seer influences his cautionary approach to guiding Eshun.
Kofi
He is a seer and friend to Eshun. He is adventurous, bold, and mischievous. Kofi shares a bond with Eshun through their shared gift and experiences. While he sometimes seeks to avoid responsibility, he values the camaraderie they have formed. Kofi's impulsive nature often leads to humorous conflicts, but he remains loyal to Eshun despite their differences. His lighthearted approach contrasts with the gravity of their mutual abilities.
I was only nine years old when I had my first vision.
It was a sunny afternoon, and I was playing outside with my friends.
Suddenly, I felt dizzy, and my eyes turned cloudy.
I heard the sound of rushing water and saw flashes of light.
When my vision cleared, I found myself standing in front of a beautiful waterfall.
A woman with long hair and a white dress was standing behind the fall.
She smiled at me and said, "You are a seer."
I had no idea what she meant, but I felt happy and excited.
As the days passed, I started having more visions.
Some were good, while others were bad.
I saw people getting hurt and buildings burning down.
I didn't know what to do with these visions, so I kept them to myself.
One night, I had a particularly strong vision.
I saw a man with a tall hat and a long coat walking down the street.
He looked suspicious and scared me.
The next day, I told my friend Aku about my vision.
He was shocked and asked me where I had seen the man.
I told him about my vision and how I had seen him walking down the street.
Aku listened carefully and then asked me to follow him.
We walked to the town square, and sure enough, the man in my vision was standing there.
He looked around nervously before quickly leaving.
Aku smiled at me and said, "You have the gift of sight."
Following Aku's revelation about my gift, I watched the man's retreating figure with growing curiosity.
Aku's hand on my shoulder tightened, and I knew he wanted me to stay put.
But my feet had a mind of their own, and I slipped out of his grasp.
I weaved through the crowded marketplace, my eyes fixed on the tall hat bobbing above the sea of people.
The man led me down narrow alleyways and through bustling streets.
My heart pounded in my chest as I dodged between market stalls and vendors.
I was determined to catch up with him, to understand why he seemed so nervous.
The man turned a corner into a quieter street, and I quickened my pace.
Finally, I was close enough to reach out and tap his sleeve.
He spun around, startled, his face pale beneath the brim of his hat.
"Why are you following me?" he demanded, his voice a mix of fear and anger.
"I saw you in a vision," I blurted out, my own voice trembling slightly.
His eyes widened, and he whispered urgently, "Then you know what I must do."
The man's weathered face softened as he studied me, his earlier fear giving way to something like recognition.
He glanced around the busy alley, his eyes darting from one end to the other.
Then, without a word, he grabbed my hand and pulled me into a shadowed doorway, away from the chaos of the market.
The doorway was narrow, and we pressed together, our bodies hidden from view.
The man's calloused hands gripped my shoulders tightly, but not threateningly.
His eyes bore into mine, filled with a mix of urgency and concern.
I noticed a small marking on his wrist—a spiral pattern that seemed familiar.
Suddenly, it clicked into place: this was the same marking I had seen in my vision.
The man opened his mouth to speak, but before he could say a word, shouting erupted from the marketplace.
It sounded like a group of men chasing after someone.
The man's grip on my shoulders tightened, and he leaned forward, bringing his face level with mine.
