"Are you sure we are going to find something here?"
Alan asked as he followed me through the long corridor.
"Yes, of course," I replied as I continued walking.
"We have been walking for almost an hour; I am not sure if we are going to find anything," he said, his voice filled with skepticism.
But I was determined.
I had been searching for this archive room for weeks, and I was not going to give up now.
Finally, after what felt like hours of walking, I came across a door that read "Archive Room 3."
This must be it, I thought as I pushed the door open.
The room was filled with rows upon rows of shelves, each one stacked with boxes of files.
"This is it," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.
"Now what?"
Alan asked, his eyes scanning the shelves.
"We start looking," I replied, already moving towards the shelves.
As we began our search, the air grew thick with dust, and the silence was only broken by the occasional rustle of papers.
After what felt like an eternity, Alan let out a triumphant cry.
"Found something," he said, holding up a box labeled "Preston University."
Together, we opened the box and began sifting through the files.
As we delved deeper into the box, our discoveries became more and more shocking.
"What is this?"
Alan asked, his voice trembling with disbelief.
"A secret society?"
The Secret Society of Preston University
I nodded, my heart racing.
"Looks like it," Alan replied, his voice filled with excitement.
We continued to sift through the files, uncovering more and more evidence of the society's influence on Preston University.
The room was silent, the only sound coming from the rustling of papers as we dug deeper and deeper.
Finally, after what felt like hours, we stumbled upon a file that caught our attention.
It was labeled with a strange symbol, one that we hadn't seen before.
I reached for it, my hands trembling slightly.
As I opened the file, a photograph slipped out, revealing a group of stern-faced individuals.
"Look at this," I said, handing the photograph to Alan.
He studied it intently, his eyes scanning the faces in the picture.
"This must be them," he said finally, his voice filled with determination.
One of the faces was unmistakably my father's.
