But he doesn't want me to know who he is.
He is the most powerful Mafia leader in Russia.
His name is Nico King.
He knows many languages: Russian, Japanese, English, Spanish, Portauges, Korean, Chinese.
He has two bodyguards: Validlan and Sergey.
Who am I?
Just an average civillan.
But the Mafia leader, Nico King loves me to bits & peices.
He loves me so much that he doesn't want to risk bringing me into his life of crime & danger.
So let's see how this forbidden love tale plays out during our first encounter...
"Hello, welcome to our diner. What would you like to have today?"
I asked with a smile as the man & his two bodyguards walked in.
"Espresso."
He said in English.
I was surprised that he knew English & that he was so polite & kind.
Then I realized that his bodyguards were huge & scary, so maybe he wasn't as nice as he seemed.
I quickly took down his order & walked off to give it to my boss.
As I walked back with his order, I couldn't help but look at him.
He was so handsome & rich & kind.
I quickly prepared his espresso & as I did, my coworker Saide sidled up beside me.
"That gentleman seems to have taken a liking to you," she said with a twinkle in her eyes.
I blushed a deep crimson & focused intently on the steaming cup in front of me, trying to ignore the fluttering in my stomach.
Saide's words echoed in my mind as I approached Nico's table, carefully placing the espresso before him.
His piercing gaze met mine & I felt an inexplicable warmth spread through me.
I turned quickly, returning to the counter & busying myself with the other customers.
As I worked, I heard the door swing open once more & glanced up to see Billy entering, his familiar grin immediately lifting my spirits.
"Hey, Billy!"
I called out, waving him over.
Billy slid onto a stool at the counter, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
"What's got you so excited?"
He asked, his voice tinged with curiosity.
"I just finished watching Demon Slayer," I said, launching into an animated rant about my favorite anime.
Billy listened intently, occasionally chiming in with his own thoughts & opinions.
As we talked, I didn't notice Nico's table was right behind us & he could hear everything I was saying.
Nico paused mid-sip, his gaze subtly shifting toward us.
His eyes held a flicker of intrigue, as if he had just discovered a secret worth keeping.
"Did you see the part where Tanjiro fights the demon?"
I asked, leaning in closer to Billy.
He shook his head, his eyes wide with anticipation.
"No, I haven't gotten that far yet. Tell me!"
I launched into a detailed description of the battle scene, using my hands to mimic the swift movements of Tanjiro's sword.
Billy listened with rapt attention, his laughter punctuating my words.
The clatter of dishes & hum of conversation faded into the background as we delved deeper into the world of Demon Slayer.
Sergey stood nearby, his eyes scanning the room with practiced vigilance.
Validlan loomed behind Nico, his imposing figure a subtle reminder of their presence.
"And then, Tanjiro uses his blade to deflect the demon's attack!"
I exclaimed, my gestures growing more animated.
Billy chuckled, shaking his head in amusement.
"I swear, Y/n, you're the mini ADHD version of me," he teased.
I grinned, nodding in agreement.
The diner's noise faded into the background as our conversation flowed effortlessly.
Meanwhile, Nico's gaze remained fixed on us, his expression unreadable yet intrigued.
Sergey & Validlan stood vigilant, their eyes scanning the room for any signs of danger.
Nico leaned back in his chair, a slight smile playing on his lips.
"Seems like you have a knack for storytelling," he remarked, his voice smooth and inviting.
I turned to face him, surprised by his sudden interjection.
"Thanks," I replied, a smile spreading across my face.
Billy nudged me playfully, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
"Looks like you've got an admirer," he whispered.
I blushed, my cheeks warming at the sudden attention.
Nico's gaze remained fixed on me, his eyes softening ever so slightly.
The subtle shift in his demeanor was almost imperceptible, but it spoke volumes about the depth of his interest.
Sergey & Validlan stood watchfully, their eyes never leaving Nico's side.
The diner's hum of conversation continued around us, but for a moment, it seemed as if time had paused.
The air buzzed with an unspoken tension, a palpable awareness that something significant was unfolding.
As I collected the empty cups from Nico's table, he reached into his pocket and handed me the bill with a smile.
I took it from him, my eyes widening as I noticed the generous tip scribbled on the corner of the receipt.
A napkin accompanied the bill, with his number hastily scrawled upon it.
He winked at me, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
I stood there for a moment, speechless, as Sergey & Validlan followed him out of the diner.
Their imposing presence commanded respect, and the diner's patrons couldn't help but stare as they exited into the crisp evening air.
My face flushed crimson, I turned back to the counter, trying to process what had just transpired.
Billy was the first to notice my expression, nudging Sadie and the others with a knowing grin.
"What's got you so red?" Sadie teased, her eyes glinting with mischief.
I shook my head, busying myself with the dishes as Nico rose from his seat.
The diner's patrons seemed to hold their collective breath as he stood, Sergey & Validlan moving in tandem with him.
Their presence was a commanding force, drawing attention without needing to try.
I kept my gaze averted, pretending not to notice as they made their way to the door.
Just as they were about to exit, Nico paused, turning slightly towards me.
Our eyes met across the room, and for a fleeting instant, I felt an undeniable flutter of excitement.
His expression remained unreadable, yet something in his gaze felt like a promise—a promise that this encounter was far from over.
And with that silent vow hanging in the air, he disappeared into the night.
The rest of my shift passed in a blur, my mind replaying the encounter with Nico over and over again.
As the evening drew to a close, I clocked out and began my walk home.
The cool night air did little to clear my thoughts, and I couldn't shake the feeling that my life was about to change in ways I couldn't yet comprehend.
Nico's number burned a hole in my pocket, tempting me to reach for it with every step.
Once inside my small apartment, I paced the floor, phone clutched tightly in my hand.
The room was quiet, save for the ticking of the clock that seemed to urge me towards a decision.
With a deep breath, I dialed his number.
Each ring felt like an eternity, my heart pounding in anticipation.
Finally, his smooth voice answered, sending a shiver down my spine.
"Hey, I wasn't sure if you'd actually call," Nico said, a hint of amusement in his tone.
"I almost didn't," I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper.
"So, are you ready to find out why Sergey and Validlan were with me?" he asked, his voice turning serious.
I hesitated, the phone pressed to my ear as I weighed my response.
"I'm curious, but also a little nervous if I'm being honest," I admitted, the words tumbling out of my mouth.
He chuckled softly, a sound that was both reassuring and intriguing.
"Meet me tomorrow at the park," he suggested, his tone leaving no room for refusal.
I nodded, even though he couldn't see me.
"Tomorrow then," I agreed, hanging up the phone and collapsing onto my bed.
The night ahead promised little rest, as my mind raced with the possibilities of what tomorrow would bring.
The park was a place I had always found solace in, surrounded by nature's tranquility.
But now, as I stood before Nico, it felt like an entirely different world.
The air was charged with anticipation, and I knew this was just the beginning.
