I was a college student, and I had a few friends.
We were not the most popular, but we were happy with what we had.
Sarah and Mark were my friends, and we were in the same class.
We used to hang out together and have fun.
One day, we went to a party, and I drank a lot.
I was drunk, and I was not in my senses.
I don’t know what happened next, but when I woke up, I was in a different world.
I was lying on the ground, and my head was hurting like hell.
I tried to get up but fell on the ground again.
I looked around and saw that there were trees everywhere.
The place looked like a forest, but it was not an ordinary forest.
There were some weird creatures moving around, and they had wings on their back.
I was shocked to see them because such creatures didn’t exist in our world.
The last thing I remembered was that I was in a party with my friends Sarah and Mark.
I was drunk, and I was not in my senses, but how did I get here?
Where are Sarah and Mark?
I called out their names, but there was no response.
The only thing I heard was the echo of my voice, but there was no sign of them.
I tried to get up again and this time, I was able to stand on my foot.
I was feeling disoriented, and the pain in my head was making it difficult for me to think.
The place looked like a forest, and I didn’t know how I got here.
The ground beneath me was very hard, and it was cold as well.
It was so cold that I could feel the coldness on my foot, and it was making me more uncomfortable.
I tried to take a deep breath but realized that the air was also not suitable for breathing.
It was difficult to breathe because the air was not enough for me.
It was making me feel suffocated, and I could feel some heaviness in my chest.
I frowned and shook my head, trying to shake off all these thoughts.
Maybe it’s just a bad dream, and soon, I will wake up from it.
I took a few steps and looked around the place.
I could see some very tall trees, and those trees were very weird.
Their trunks were twisted, and they were so tall that I could see their tops.
There were very few branches on them, and those branches were blue in color.
The leaves were also blue, but they were glowing, making the whole place brighter.
The ground around those trees was also glowing because of those leaves.
However, there were some other trees as well, and they were pretty normal as compared to those blue ones…
It was quiet, and there were no sounds around me except for the rustling of leaves and some distant sounds of water.
It felt like it has been raining here, but there were no signs of rain now.
I frowned and wondered what kind of place is this?
Why am I here?
How did I get here?
These questions were running in my mind.
I didn’t have any answers to these questions, so I shook my head again.
“Why am I even thinking about it?”
I said to myself and started walking in one direction.
I knew that Sarah and Mark would be looking for me as well.
It’s better if we all meet at the same location.
Maybe they even have some answers to my questions.
As soon as I started walking, I realized that my footsteps were echoing in the whole forest.
It was so quiet that even small sounds were echoing in the whole forest.
And it increased my discomfort moreover.
However, there was no other way out apart from moving forward.
So I continued walking while looking around the place.
The more time passed; the more pain in my head increased.
I continued walking but looked around a few times and realized that it was getting darker by every passing minute.
“Are we here at night?”
I frowned and wondered what was happening around me.
It was morning when we were at the party, and now it’s night… How much time has passed?
I looked around and stopped when the sun was shining on my face again after a while.
I blinked a few times and looked at the sky; it was still daytime.
I shook my head and wondered what was happening around me.
When I took a few steps forward again, it started getting dark once more…
I frowned and took a few steps back; it was daytime again…
I looked around and realized that there was something weird going on with this place…
As if someone has trapped us here…
I shook my head again and continued walking deeper into the forest.
“Sarah… Mark…”
I called out their name again while looking around the place but didn’t see them anywhere around me.
I had been calling out their names for a while now, but there was no response from them…
“Where are you guys?”
The only thing I could hear was the echo of my voice…
I frowned and realized that either they were not able to hear me or they are not nearby…
I sighed and continued calling out their names as I ventured deeper into the forest.
The terrain was rough, and there were rocks everywhere.
My shoes were pretty good, but they were not made for such terrains…
It was getting difficult for me to walk on such terrains because they were hurting my feet a lot…
However, I continued moving forward because I didn’t have any other choice…
I needed to find them no matter what…
My legs were feeling heavy, and they were hurting as well because of all the injuries…
There were bruises and cuts all over them…
It was difficult for me to move them because they were paining like hell…
However, I ignored the pain and pushed forward…
It felt like hours had passed since we had been separated…
But there was no sign of them…
How deep is this forest?
Why is this place so big?
I sighed and looked around…
There were trees everywhere, and I couldn’t see anything apart from them…
It felt like I had been walking in circles, and I didn’t even know where I was…
It made me feel like giving up but then I thought of them…
If I don’t find them, who will?
No, I can’t give up on them…
However, when I turned a corner and saw a figure lying on the ground ahead, my heart stopped…
I hurried towards them and realized that it was one of them…
But who?
My heart raced as I walked closer and saw her face…
I recognized her long, blonde hair…
It was Sarah…
“Sarah,” I called out her name as I knelt beside her and checked her pulse…
To my astonishment, she was still alive…
She’s breathing… I sighed in relief and started shaking her gently while calling out her name…
After a while, Sarah’s eyes fluttered open…
She looked at me with confusion in her eyes and tried to sit up…
Her body felt heavy, and she struggled to sit up…
However, when she saw me, she stopped and looked at me with a mix of fear and recognition…
“Where am I?”
I helped her up and then asked, “Do you remember what happened last night at the party?”
Sarah nodded her head and then said, “I remember talking to you guys and then going to get another drink…”
She stopped and then shook her head and said, “Wait, why are we in a forest?What happened last night?”
“I don’t remember anything,” I said while looking around… “And I have no idea why we are here…”
Sarah nodded her head and then asked, “Where is Mark?”
“I have no idea,” I shook my head.
I sighed and then said, “Let’s look for him…”
Sarah nodded her head and then said, “I heard water…”
“Maybe we can find Mark there…”
I nodded my head and then said, “Let’s go…”
We walked deeper into the forest, following the sound of the water…
The terrain was rough, and my feet were hurting a lot because of the shoes I was wearing…
I would have changed them if I knew that I would be waking up in a forest today…
But there was nothing I could do about it now…
So, I continued walking with Sarah’s help…
After a short walk, we finally found the river that Sarah was talking about.
Mark was lying near the river…
He looked really exhausted…
I’m glad that he’s still alive…
I sighed and then asked Sarah to wait…
Then, I walked towards Mark and started shaking him to wake him up.
After a few seconds, Mark opened his eyes and looked at me with confusion in his eyes.
“What the hell happened?”
Mark asked as he tried to sit up.
He looked really exhausted as he sat up with a frown on his face.
“I have no idea…”
I shook my head and then helped him to his feet.
He looked at me with confusion in his eyes as he stood up.
However, when he stood up and looked around, he stopped and said: “Are we in a forest?”
I nodded my head and said: “Yes, I have no idea how we ended up here…”
Mark frowned and then said: “The last thing I remember is that I was at a college party with you guys… And then everything went dark…”
“I don’t remember anything else,” Mark said as he looked at us with confusion in his eyes.
I sighed and then said: “I don’t remember anything either… I just woke up in this forest…”
The three of us were really confused about what had happened last night.
However, we knew that it would be of no use to think about that right now.
We needed to figure out where we are first.
So, we decided to look around and see if we could find any signs of human life.
As we moved away from the river and walked a few steps ahead, I noticed something strange.
There were people standing on the branches of the trees.
They had wings and were looking at us silently.
Their eyes were deep black and made my blood run cold.
