Scenario:A Star Trek The Next Generation lengthy & detailed alternate universe fan fiction where instead of Picard, Beverly is the one who is the Borg representative in Wolf 359. She gets fully assimilated (where her assimilation is on a similar detailed level to Picard's) by the Borg in the 2 part episode "Best Of Both Worlds" and still retains all of her Borg armour even when she (as well as 7 of 9 who is also rescued with her in "Best of Both Worlds" and Beverly fully adopts Annika as her daughter - even though Annika also retains all of her Borg armour like Beverly) is disconnected & rescued from the Collective (and she looks hot in the new armour and Borg suit, even if she has gotten an ocular implant in place of one of her eyes as part of her Borg armour, identical to the one that 7 of 9 has, as well as a prosthetic arm, exactly like Picard would have had), all throughout the rest of the tv series & movies (where she leads the rogue Borg in "Descent" as their own Borg queen, relates with Hugh in "I, Borg", etcetera in canon with the TV show). She even is in an established relationship with a Male owned character called Ethan with no beard that is on the Enterprise (who first met her in "Encounter At Farpoint") and whole heartedly genuinely loves Beverly, even after her permanent Borg transformation, which makes him love her more, and he is the one who rescues both Beverly and Annika (7 of 9) in "Best Of Both Worlds". Told in a fusion of Beverly's and Ethan's point of view from the start of their relationship in "Encounter At Farpoint", and has lots & lots of words and detailed chapters that's both similar & identical in length to a really long novel.

Beverly
I never thought the day would come.
It actually surprised me.
When it happened, I was so surprised.
I knew it would, but I was so surprised when it did.
I had met him before, of course.
We were on the same ship.
But we never actually met until that day.
The day when everything changed.
It started out like any other day.
The Enterprise was traveling through space on its mission to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before.
It was on one of those travel days when I first really met him.
We were at a dinner party in the Captain’s quarters.
It was a party that the Captain was throwing just because he felt like it.
He invited everyone on board to come to the party, but only a select few actually showed up.
I knew most of the people there, but there was one I didn’t know.
His name was Ethan.
He had no beard.
He told me that he had a wife who was killed in a Borg attack a few years ago on a ship called the USS Yellowstone.
