Samantha "Sam" Johnson

resourceful, and supportive. Sam helps Lily navigate the harsh realities of prison life and provides emotional support during difficult times. Despite their differences, Sam forms a strong bond with Lily and becomes a vital ally in her quest for survival.

Officer Thompson

loyal, and brave. Officer Thompson forms a close bond with Lily, believing in her innocence. She agrees to help Lily escape but tragically dies during the attempt. Her death deeply affects Lily, who vows to continue their shared dream of freedom.

Lily Carter

determined, and hopeful. Lily is wrongly accused of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment. Despite the harsh conditions, she finds solace in her friendship with Officer Thompson and later develops romantic feelings for her. When Officer Thompson dies during an escape attempt, Lily vows to clear her name and escape to honor her memory.

I looked into her eyes and smiled, feeling a sense of hope that I hadn’t felt in a long time.
