Reyansh Singhania
I am Reyansh Singhania.
I am 25 years old.
I am an IPS officer.
I have a spotless record.
My life is disciplined to say the least.
I know what I want from my life and exactly how I plan to achieve it.
I am the elder son of my parents.
I have one younger sister who is 22 years old.
I believe in leading by example.
Hence, I preach only those principles that I practice myself.
Duty, integrity, focus, hard work – these are the principles that I swear by.
You can call me a perfectionist but I would call myself a pursuer of excellence.
My days start before dawn and end after midnight.
Each moment of my life is meticulously planned, each action accounted for.
I don’t have much time for leisure and pleasure which people my age often indulge in.
My life is simple, neat, and clean just like me.
I don’t have many friends and neither do I crave for any.
My colleagues respect me and that’s all that matters.
I am a man of my word.
The morning sun barely peeked through the blinds as I arrived at the station.
My mind was still reeling from the announcement of my engagement that had been made last night.
I had never imagined that my life would take this turn.
I had always been focused on my career and had never given a thought to settling down.
But now, everything had changed.
The sound of whispers in the break room caught my attention as I walked in.
It seemed like everyone was talking about something, but no one was willing to share any information with me.
I approached Ravi, one of my colleagues, who was sitting at a desk, shuffling through some papers.
"Ravi," I said, my voice steady but firm, "we need to talk."
He looked up at me nervously, his eyes darting around the room.
"What’s going on?" he asked, his voice trembling slightly.
"I’ve received a report that suggests there may have been some misconduct in our department," I said, my voice stern but controlled.
"I’m not sure what you’re talking about," Ravi replied, his face flushing with embarrassment. "I think you do," I said firmly.
"I’ve reviewed the evidence and it looks like there may have been some discrepancies in the way we handled a recent case. I need you to tell me what happened."
Ravi shifted uncomfortably in his seat, his eyes darting around the room nervously.
"I don’t know what you’re talking about," he repeated.
"I’m afraid we’re going to have to investigate this further," I said firmly.
"I’ll need you to come down to headquarters with me so we can get to the bottom of this."
Ravi nodded reluctantly and stood up from his chair.
As we walked out of the break room, I could feel the weight of responsibility on my shoulders.
I knew that this situation was serious and that it required swift and decisive action.
But I also knew that it wasn’t going to be easy to resolve. The investigation would require a thorough review of all the evidence and a detailed analysis of our procedures and protocols.
"Reyansh, there's something you should know," Ravi said quietly as we stepped into the hallway.
"I overheard a conversation last night—someone's trying to frame you for this."
My heart skipped a beat, but I kept my expression neutral. "Who?"
Ravi hesitated, glancing around nervously.
"I'm not sure. But it's someone high up."
I led Ravi into the dimly lit interrogation room, the air thick with tension.
The single bulb overhead cast shadows on his face as he fidgeted nervously in his seat.
"Reyansh, it's... it's someone high up," he stammered.
My jaw tightened, my mind racing with the implications.
"Names, Ravi," I pressed, my voice steady but firm.
He swallowed hard, finally whispering a name that sent a chill down my spine.
I scribbled it down quickly, my mind racing with the possibilities.
As I stood to leave, determined to dig deeper, my phone buzzed—a reminder of the engagement dinner tonight.
I glanced at the screen, then back at Ravi.
"This isn't over," I said, my voice low but resolute.
Ravi nodded, his eyes filled with a mix of fear and relief.
