MidReal Story

The Notebook of Reality

Anonymous

Jan 29
Scenario:I am Harold Wilson and have found a magical notebook that allows me to change reality once a day. Rules: Reality is rewritten and adjusted, nobody but the user remembers what happened, for all others reality was always like that. However, the notebook will always be with the user after a reality change, sometimes in a changed form so it fits the new reality. Anything the user writes in the notebook will become reality, there are no limits. The effect takes place the next day when the user wakes. Changes are irreversible, and this also applies to wishes that are new wishes but come close to reversing former wishes. The notebook can only be seen and used by the user. It is indestructible (and changes form according to the user) If the user loses the notebook, they have 48 hours to find it or it is considered abandoned. If the user abandons the notebook the notebook can be discovered and taken by anyone but the former user. The notebook is considered abandoned as soon as the user intentionally discards it, or if it is lost to the user for 48 hours. These rules are written in the inside of the cover. As Harold, 25, college dropout with no job, I stumble across this notebook one day. I find this ridiululous. Since I had an argument with my sister the other day, I write half-jokingly "I wish I were my sister." My sister is 22, senior in college and the golden child of my family. Always describe locations and clothes of people vividly.

I am Harold Wilson.
I am 25 years old and a college dropout with no job.
I was ridiculous to think that I could change my life using this magical notebook.
When I found this notebook, I laughed at the rules written in it and thought it was ridiculous.
Then I decided to test it just for fun.
I wrote what was on my mind at that time: "I wish I were my sister."
My sister was 22, a senior in college.
The golden child of our family.
Everyone liked her because she was smart and responsible.
Having her life instead of mine sounded like a good idea.
The next morning, I woke up and everything was the same.
The notebook was still on my nightstand.
I threw it away and decided to focus on finding a job and moving on with my life.
At least that was what I thought until I woke up the following morning and found myself in my sister's body.
It worked!
The golden rule of this magical notebook was that only I could see it and use it.
It would change shape according to my needs so that I would always have it with me after changing reality.
The first time, it changed from a small notebook to a sticky note on my sister's fridge.
It worked!
But then I had to be careful what I wished for because there were no returns.
Also, the sticky note had the rules written on it: "Anything you write in here will become reality. There are no limits."
