主角重生中世纪落魄贵族身上,看他如何利用现代知识在中世纪发家致富的故事
Lord Thomas Blackwood
ambitious, and intelligent. After being reborn into a fallen noble family, he uses his modern knowledge to improve their fortunes. He focuses on agriculture, trade, and education to strengthen his family's position. He marries Lady Elizabeth and has two children with her. Through his efforts, he regains the family's nobility and wealth.
Lady Elizabeth Blackwood
elegant, and loyal. Born into a noble family, she marries Thomas after his family's fortunes improve. She assists him in managing the estate and supports his endeavors to regain their nobility. She becomes pregnant with twins and later gives birth to a boy and girl.
Lady Isabella Blackwood
gentle, and naive. She assists with household chores and supports her family's endeavors to regain their nobility status.
I died in a world I knew, and was reborn into a world I didn't.
At first, everything seemed fine.
I found myself in the body of a young man, part of a fallen noble family.
They had land, servants, an impressive house, and more.
But as I looked deeper into their situation, I realized just how bad their circumstances were.
Their fields were barren and dead, their livestock瘟 stricken, their trade non-existent, and their money almost gone.
The family I was a part of was on the verge of collapse.
So I decided to use the knowledge I brought with me from the modern world to change their circumstances.
I focused on agriculture at first, digging wells and irrigation systems, planting new crops that would feed the land as much as they fed our bellies.
And now, with the first harvest approaching, I called my family and the most trusted of our servants to the great hall.
The room was dimly lit, the fire crackling in the hearth.
The air was thick with anticipation as we gathered around the large table.
"Friends and family," I began, "I have a plan. A plan that will help us grow and thrive. We will establish a market."
Sir William, the patriarch of the family, looked at me skeptically.
"A market? Here? But we are in the middle of nowhere."
I smiled.
"That is exactly why we need one. We have more than enough food to feed us all, and then some. We will use this surplus to attract traders and travelers from nearby villages." Lady Isabella, William's wife, nodded.
"I can see it. Stalls set up in the courtyard, filled with fresh produce and handmade goods. It would be a lovely sight."
Lady Elizabeth, my sister-in-law, rubbed her belly gently.
She was pregnant with her first child, and her excitement for the market was clear on her face.
"We could invite some of the local artisans to join us as well," she suggested.
"They could bring their wares and sell them here. It would bring in even more visitors."
I nodded.
"Exactly. And it would not only benefit our family, but our community as well."
Sir William looked at me, a glint in his eye.
"You know, Lord Thomas, I think you might just be onto something here."
I smiled, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment wash over me.
"Then it is settled," I said. "We will hold our first market day in two weeks' time. Spread the word to our neighbors and let them know that they are welcome to come."
Sir William nodded and stood up from his seat.
"I will make sure to tell everyone about our market," he said.
"And I am sure they will be excited to come."
With that, the meeting was adjourned and everyone went their separate ways.
I stayed seated at the table for a moment, thinking about how far we had come and how much potential there was still to be tapped.
As the others left, Lady Isabella lingered behind, her expression thoughtful.
"Thomas," she said softly, "there's something you should know—our family's downfall wasn't entirely due to misfortune."
I looked at her, surprised. "What do you mean?"
She glanced around the room, as if she feared being overheard.
"There are whispers," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Whispers that there is someone working against us. Someone who wants to see our family fall."
I frowned, my mind racing with the implications of her words.
"Who would do such a thing?"
I asked, my voice firm.
Lady Isabella shook her head.
"I don't know," she said.
"But I do know that we need to be careful. We can't let our guard down, not even for a moment."
I nodded, feeling a sense of determination wash over me.
"We will be vigilant," I said.
"And we will do everything in our power to protect our family and our land."
As Lady Isabella left the great hall, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.
The thought of someone working against us was unsettling, and it made me realize just how much work we still had to do.
But I was confident that with the help of my family and the knowledge I had brought with me from the modern world, we would be able to overcome any obstacle that came our way. Lady Isabella sat across from me in the candlelit study, her eyes filled with a mix of fear and determination.
"Thomas," she began, her voice trembling slightly.
"There's something you should know—our family's downfall wasn't entirely due to misfortune."
I leaned forward in my chair, my heart pounding in my chest.
"What do you mean?"
I asked, my voice firm but controlled.
Lady Isabella glanced around the room, as if she feared being overheard.
"There are whispers," she said softly.
"Whispers that there is someone working against us. Someone who wants to see our family fall."
I frowned, trying to make sense of her words.
"But why? What could anyone possibly gain from our downfall?"
Lady Isabella shook her head, her expression filled with sadness.
"I don't know," she said.
"But I do know that we can't let our guard down. We have to be careful."
I nodded, feeling a sense of determination wash over me.
"We will be vigilant," I said firmly.
"And we will do everything in our power to protect our family and our land."
As Lady Isabella left the study, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.
