My name is Cora Robson and I am nine years old.
I have to wear nappies all the time as this is what my mum and dad want me to do.
I was okay with this as all the kids in my family wore nappies and most of the other kids in our town did too.
I was at church with my mum and dad and my younger brother Finn who was also wearing nappies.
We were all dressed in modest clothing, me and Finn were wearing Cotton Button-Front Polo Shirts and shorts.
We had velcro shoes on our feet.
After the service we went to Sunday school where I got to see my best friend Mason.
He was the only kid that I knew who did not wear nappies.
He told me that his mum would not let him but it was okay as I thought that he was a great guy.
He never made me feel bad about my nappies.
After Sunday school we all went home with our parents for lunch, after which Mason and I would play in the garden or go for a walk in the woods.

After lunch we went to sit on the old wooden bench that was next to my mother's flower garden.
The spring breeze rustled our clothes as I explained to Mason about the new game that Sister Margaret had taught us in Sunday school.
It was a new way of telling Bible stories using hand gestures.
She said that this was what they did at her church and it helped the kids remember the stories better.
I told Mason that she had taught us the story of Noah's Ark and he wanted to learn it too.
So I stood up and started to act out the story.
First I showed him how to make the waves by moving my arms up and down with my palms facing downwards.
Then I showed him how to make the rain by moving my arms up and down with my palms facing upwards.
Next I showed him how to make the animals go onto the ark by bending my knees slightly and moving my right arm out in front of me with my palm facing upwards, then I would move my left arm out in front of me with my palm facing upwards, then I would bend my knees slightly more and move both arms out in front of me with my palms facing upwards.
I repeated this sequence several times. Then I showed him how to make the dove fly by flapping my elbows like wings, first one arm then the other.

I also showed him how to make the olive leaf by holding one hand up with the palm facing towards me and spreading my thumb and index finger apart while keeping all other fingers together.
Mason watched all this intently as he tried to copy me but he kept getting it wrong.
He would do the waves okay but then he would forget what came next and would start doing the dove flying when he should have been doing the animals going onto the ark or something like that.
I could see his forehead wrinkling as he tried hard to get it right but he just couldn't seem to get it in sequence.
Just as he was about to do the olive leaf he knocked over Mom's watering can which was sitting on the edge of her flower bed.

Water splashed across the garden path as the metal can clattered against the stone.
I quickly grabbed the handle before any more spilled out, steadying it upright again.
Mason's face turned bright red as he stammered out an apology but I just shook my head and smiled.
"It's okay," I told him, "Mom always says accidents happen."
I checked the flowers nearby and saw that only a few stems were bent but none were broken.

The remaining water sloshed inside the can as I carefully set it back on its spot by the garden wall.
"I'm really sorry, Cora," Mason said, looking down at his shoes.
"Don't worry about it," I replied, brushing some dirt off my hands.
"But there's something I need to tell you," he continued, glancing nervously towards the house.
