King Bucky XIII
trusting, and grateful for loyalty from his subjects like Jameson Gascon.
Many years ago in France, the 25 year old Hispanic Jameson Gascon was on his way to go to Paris to become a Musketeer to the 25 year old blue eyed brunette King Bucky XIII when he suddenly had a spat with the one eyed Slade Rouchefort in a small country village.
"I am going to the inn," Jameson said.
"No," Slade said.
"You are an idiot ," Jameson said.
He drew his sword and so did Slade as they got ready to duel.
Jameson parried Slade’s attack and then he attacked Slade.
He parried Slade’s attack again and attacked him again.
With one more attack, he attacked Slade and he won the duel.
Jameson went to Paris the very next day from riding his horse named Gustave.
When he got there, he rented a room from Monsieur de Bonacieux, a kind landlord.
"Here is the key," Monsieur de Bonacieux said.
"Merci."
Jameson went upstairs to his room and then he heard someone singing in the room next to his, a beautiful song.
He wondered who the singer was and then he heard someone open the door that was downstairs and he heard a feminine voice say, "Bonjour, Papa."
"Bonjour, Ma Fille," Monsieur de Bonacieux said.
Jameson wondered who "Ma Fille" was and then he looked out the window and saw a beautiful 25-year old blue eyed redhead walking away from Monsieur de Bonacieux and then he gasped.
Jameson hurried down the creaking wooden steps, adjusting his collar and smoothing his hair.
Through the window, he caught glimpses of her red hair between the buildings as she walked toward the market.
His boots hit the cobblestones as he exited, nearly colliding with Monsieur de Bonacieux who was sweeping the front step.
"Pardon, Monsieur," Jameson said, tipping his hat.
"Who was that young lady?"
Monsieur de Bonacieux leaned on his broom, eyeing Jameson with fatherly suspicion.
"My daughter, Emmania. She works at the palace."
Jameson spotted her turning a corner and quickened his pace, weaving between market carts and merchants.
He followed her through the stalls, past a fishmonger and a baker.
She stopped at a fabric merchant's booth, examining fine silks.
Jameson approached, but before he could speak, a large man carrying baskets of bread knocked into him from behind.
Jameson stumbled forward, colliding with Emmania just as she turned around.
His hands instinctively reached out to steady himself, catching her arms.
Her fingers brushed against his as she regained her balance.
Their eyes met and despite his clumsy entrance, she didn't pull away.
Instead, her lips curved into a warm smile that made his heart race.
"Merci," she said softly.
Jameson nodded, knowing in that moment he was destined to follow her into the heart of Parisian intrigue.
I walked beside Emmania through the crowded marketplace, carrying her bundles of silk and lace while she examined ribbons at another stall.
The fabrics were destined for the Queen's new gowns, she explained, running her fingers over a length of blue velvet.
She told me about her work at the palace, her eyes lighting up as she described the intricate embroidery and beadwork she created.
A group of rowdy merchants pushed past us, forcing Emmania closer to my side.
