Mr. Chen

protective, and supportive. Mr. Chen loves both his children equally but struggles with the truth about Lily's past.

I hid behind the pillar and stared at Allen who was standing opposite to me.

He was talking with someone over the phone and I couldn't help myself to stare at him.

My heart was beating fast and my cheeks turned pink.

I was in love with him.

Allen hung up the call and turned towards the path that led to his home which was just a few blocks away from mine.

I wanted to follow him but I stopped myself.

I can't let him find out that I always followed him.

It was too creepy!

I sighed and returned back to my home, feeling a little bad that I couldn't get a chance to talk with him.

I reached my home and locked the door of my room.

I need to bathe today otherwise my legs will show up tomorrow morning and it would be hard for me to hide them.

I always bathed in the morning and now it was weird that I was bathing in the evening.

The water of the bath was warm and relaxing.

As a mermaid, I needed to bathe in warm water otherwise my scales would start showing up.

I relaxed myself in the warm water of the bath and closed my eyes.

Suddenly, I heard someone knocking on my door.

Who could be at my door?
