There’s nothing about him that makes me think he’s bad, and I guess sometimes we just need people like that in our lives.
He talks to me about my day.
Asks how I am.
Remembers things I’ve told him about myself.
And he listens when I want to talk.
We sit outside together in the afternoons when the sun is hidden behind clouds, so it’s not too hot.
We look out at the fields and the sky, and we breathe in the fresh air.
Sometimes Sarah is with us, and sometimes she isn’t.
She likes to talk about her plans for moving out and getting a place with her girlfriend, and I like to listen, because it gives me something to think about.
