I was walking down the street in Dimmsdale when I saw my dad, Mr. Turner, walking towards me.
He had a huge smile on his face and a spring in his step.
"Hi Timmy," he said as he approached me.
"Hi Dad."
I greeted him.
"What's with the big smile?"
I asked.
"I finally got the Magic Muffin," he said, holding up the muffin.
"The Magic Muffin?"
I asked, confused.
"Yes, it grants wishes."
"Oh, nice."
I said, "What did you wish for?"
"I wished to be Tina Turner again," he said.
"Tina Turner?"
"Yes, I used to be her before."
"What do you mean?"
"I used to be a woman named Tina Turner before I became Mr. Turner."
"Oh, okay."
I said, "Well, I guess that's a weird wish."
"It's not weird at all," Dad said, "I used to be a beauty queen before I became Mr. Turner."
"A beauty queen?"
"Yes, I won many pageants and was very popular."
"Wow, that's cool."
I said, "Did you tell Mom about your wish?"
"No, I didn't," Dad said, "It's our little secret."
"Okay," I said, "Well, I should get going now."
"Okay Timmy," Dad said, "Have a good day."
I walked away from my dad, feeling a bit confused.
Why did he wish to be a woman named Tina Turner?
And what did he mean by being a beauty queen?

I couldn't stop thinking about my conversation with Dad.
I needed to know more about this Tina Turner person and why Dad wanted to be her again.
I decided to do some research.
I headed straight to the Dimmsdale Library, hoping to find some records on the Mist Dimmesdale beauty pageant.
The librarian raised an eyebrow when I asked for records on the pageant, but she handed me a stack of dusty newspapers and old photographs.
I sat at a table and began to sift through them.
There were pictures of beautiful women in swimsuits and evening gowns, their faces painted with makeup and their hair styled in bouffants.
I flipped through the pages, looking for any mention of Tina Turner.
And then, there she was.
A photograph of my dad, or rather Tina Turner, taken at the Mist Dimmesdale beauty pageant in 1975.
He was wearing a swimsuit and heels, his hair styled in a bouffant and his face covered in makeup.
He looked like a completely different person.

I read the article that accompanied the photograph.
It said that Tina Turner was a popular contestant in the pageant, known for her beauty and charm.
She had won several awards and was considered one of the favorites to win the title of Miss Dimmsdale. I couldn't believe what I was reading.
My dad had been a woman?
And not just any woman, but a famous beauty queen?
I felt like I had stumbled upon a whole new side of my dad that I never knew existed.
I spent the rest of the afternoon reading about Tina Turner's life and career as a beauty queen.
She had been a star in her time, winning many pageants and even appearing on television shows.
But then, something strange happened.
Tina Turner disappeared from the public eye, and no one heard from her again.
It was as if she had vanished into thin air.
I wondered what had happened to her, and why my dad had kept it a secret all these years.
I decided that I needed to talk to him about this discovery.
But as I left the library, I realized that some secrets are hidden for a reason.
