I'm John Devero, Ceo of JD enterprises and Mafia king Billionaire.
I only have one brother Michael Devero.
I never believed in marriage or love because of my past experience.
My mom was killed by my dad's mistress when I was five years old.
My dad didn't give a fuck about me or my brother after mom's death.
He only cared for his new family.
I hated him so much that I didn't even attend his funeral.
I only focused on studying so that I could build my empire and become more powerful than my dad.
I succeeded in all I did, and I became a ruthless, determined, and possessive person.
I never believed that someone could change my life until I met her that night.
It was the night of our college graduation; we were all celebrating and having a good time with our friends and colleagues.
I was so happy that night because I finally graduated.
I was also very happy because I finally did what I had been craving to do for a long time.
I finally got laid by a girl I liked so much.
She was everything I wanted in a woman.
I liked her so much, but I never had the courage to tell her because I didn't want her to laugh at me or push me away.
I was very shy, and I didn't know how to approach her until that night came, and we were both drunk.
I slowly stirred awake, my eyes squinting at the bright sunlight streaming in through the floor-to-ceiling windows of my penthouse.
The warmth that had been beside me only hours before was now gone, leaving nothing but a rumpled mess of sheets and the lingering scent of her perfume.
I reached over to check my phone for any messages, but there were none.
No calls, no texts, no emails.
It was as if she had vanished into thin air.
I tossed my phone aside and stood up, running a hand through my disheveled hair as I scanned the room for any sign of her.
Her dress was gone, her purse was missing, and there wasn't even a note or a message on the kitchen counter.
It was like she had never been here at all.
I walked over to the bathroom, hoping against hope that she might be in there getting ready for the day, but it was empty.
The only thing staring back at me was my own reflection. I couldn't believe it.
After all these years, I finally found her again, and then she just disappeared?
I couldn't let it end like this.
I needed to find her, to know that she was okay and that she hadn't abandoned me again without a word.
I grabbed my phone and dialed Michael's number, hoping that he would be able to help me track her down.
He was the one who had set up our meeting with Samantha, so he must have known where she would be going after she left us.
As I waited for him to answer, I couldn't help but think back to how much fun we had last night.
Her smile had lit up the entire room, and when she laughed, it was like music to my ears.
She had always been beautiful, but now she was absolutely stunning.
Her long blonde hair cascaded down her back like a golden waterfall, and her blue eyes sparkled with a fire that seemed to burn brighter with every passing moment. Her body... oh God, her body was perfect in every way imaginable.
She had curves in all the right places, and when I finally got my hands on them last night, I almost lost control of myself right then and there.
But it wasn't just about how beautiful she looked or how good she felt in my arms; it was about how much I still loved her after all these years apart.
I paced back and forth in my office, waiting for Michael's call.
It was taking him a long time to answer.
I was starting to get worried when I finally heard his voice on the other end of the line.
"Hello?"
"Michael, where are you?"
"I'm at the office, why? What's wrong?"
"It's Samantha. She disappeared after we left last night. Do you know where she is?"
There was a pause on the other end of the line, and I could tell that he was hesitant to answer.
"Michael, come on. You're my brother. You have to tell me the truth."
He sighed heavily before speaking again.
"I don't know where she is, John. But I do know that she's been asking about you too."
My heart skipped a beat at his words.
"She has? What did she say?"
"Just that she wanted to know more about you, I guess. But she's been distant with me ever since that night."
"What night?"
"The night we graduated from college. You know, when you guys... never mind."
He trailed off, and I could tell that he didn't want to finish his sentence.
I knew what he was referring to, but I couldn't believe that Samantha had been thinking about me all these years too. "Michael, listen to me," I said urgently.
"I need you to tell me everything you know about Samantha. Where she is, what she likes, what she wants out of life. Everything."
There was another pause on the other end of the line, and I could tell that Michael was hesitant to give me the information I was asking for.
"I can't do that," he said finally.
"You know why."
I knew exactly what he was talking about.
Samantha had always been private about her personal life, and Michael had always respected her wishes.
But now, things were different.
I needed to know everything there was to know about her if I wanted any chance of winning her back.
"Michael," I said firmly.
"I'm not asking you as your brother or as your boss. I'm asking you as a friend. Please, just give me whatever information you have."
There was another pause on the other end of the line before Michael spoke again.
"Okay," he said softly.
"But just remember that this is coming from me, not from Samantha herself."
I nodded even though he couldn't see me through the phone.
"I understand," I said.
"So tell me everything you know."
"Alright, she mentioned something about a gallery opening downtown," Michael finally relented.
"She seemed really interested in the art scene, said it was her new passion."
"Thanks, Michael, that's more than enough to get started."
