It was a beautiful morning, and I was excited to set up my shoe shop for the day.
I had just finished placing the last shoe on the shelf when I suddenly felt very ill.
I held onto the counter to prevent myself from falling over.
What’s going on?
I thought to myself.
I haven’t felt this way since my period last month, but I was running a bit late.
I quickly grabbed my phone and dialed my fairy godmother’s number.
"Hello?"
I heard my Fairy Godmother’s voice.
"Fairy Godmother, it’s me, Cinderella. I don’t feel so well. I feel like I threw up yesterday and today I feel even worse."
"Hello, dear. Don’t worry; I’m here for you. You know you can always come to me for anything. Now let’s figure out what’s going on with you. When was the last time you had your period?"
"I haven’t had it since before the Royal Ball, which was about two months ago."
"Okay, dear. I think I know what might be going on. I need you to go buy a pregnancy test; we will do it right there in the store."
I quickly did as I was told and purchased a few pregnancy tests.
My Fairy Godmother then took me through the steps of using them.
After peeing on the stick and waiting a few minutes, I got my results: POSITIVE!
"Yes! You’re pregnant, Cinderella!"
My Fairy Godmother shouted happily.

My legs feel weak as I lower myself onto the wooden stool behind the counter.
The pregnancy test trembles in my hand, its little pink lines staring back at me.
Through the shop window, I watch customers stroll past, completely unaware of how my world has just shifted.
My Fairy Godmother places her warm hand on my shoulder, but I barely register her touch.
I reach for my phone, my thumb hovering over Prince Charming's contact.
The Lost Princess And The Secret Baby
The bell above the shop door chimes - a customer walks in.
I quickly hide the pregnancy test behind the counter, my heart pounding in my chest.
Mrs. Henderson, a familiar customer, begins to browse through my latest collection of evening slippers.
I force a smile and greet her, trying to compose myself.
"Good morning, Mrs. Henderson. How can I help you today?"
She picks up a pair of shoes and examines them carefully.
"These look lovely, Cinderella. I'll take them."
I nod and begin to wrap the shoes in tissue paper.
My hands shake slightly as I work, my mind racing with thoughts of how to tell Prince Charming the news.
The bell above the door chimes again, signaling another customer.
I look up, expecting it to be someone else, but my heart skips a beat when I see him standing there.
The Lost Princess And The Secret Baby
Prince Charming.
He's still dressed in his formal court attire from the morning's events.
Mrs. Henderson notices him too and immediately curtsies before hurrying out of the shop with her purchase.
We're left alone now, just the two of us.
I clutch the edge of the counter for support, the pregnancy test burning a hole in my pocket.
The Lost Princess And The Secret Baby
His eyes meet mine, and for a moment, I see the warmth and affection that has grown between us over the past few months.
"Cinderella, is everything alright? You look a bit pale," he says, concern lacing his voice.
I take a deep breath, my heart pounding. "Charming, there's something important I need to tell you... I'm pregnant."
My heart pounds as he stands there in silence, processing my words.
The afternoon sun streams through the shop windows, casting long shadows across the floor.
I watch his face intently, seeing the surprise and confusion etched on his features.
He takes a step forward, his court jacket rustling against the fabric of his pants.
His eyes lock onto mine, searching for answers.
The scent of his cologne wafts towards me, mingling with the smell of leather and polish from the shoes on display.
I grip the edge of the counter harder, my knuckles turning white.
The pregnancy test slides deeper into my pocket as I shift my weight nervously.
He finally speaks, his voice a mix of disbelief and excitement. "Pregnant? Are you sure?"
I nod, my voice barely above a whisper. "Yes, I took the test just now."
The Lost Princess And The Secret Baby
A slow smile spreads across his face as he steps closer, reaching for my hands. "This is incredible news, Cinderella. We're going to be parents!"
Still holding hands with Prince Charming behind the counter, I notice a glint of sparkles forming in the air near the entrance of the shop.
The sparkles grow brighter, swirling together until my Fairy Godmother materializes before us.
She beams at both Prince Charming and me, her eyes twinkling with delight.
In her hands, she carries an ornate silver box adorned with intricate patterns and tied with ribbons that shimmer like starlight.
Prince Charming immediately bows his head in respect as she approaches us.
My Fairy Godmother sets the box on my workbench, her movements graceful and deliberate.
"This is for you, my dear," she says, her voice filled with warmth.
"Inside this box are a pair of enchanted baby shoes. They will grow with your child as they take their first steps and beyond."
I watch in awe as she opens the lid of the box, revealing two tiny shoes nestled among soft, white silk.
As she lifts them out, they begin to glow softly, emitting a gentle hum that fills the air. "Watch closely," she whispers, her eyes sparkling with magic.
The Lost Princess And The Secret Baby
The shoes suddenly change size before our very eyes, growing larger and smaller in a mesmerizing display of enchantment.
Tears well up in my eyes at the thoughtfulness of her gift.
I look at Prince Charming, who seems equally amazed by this magical gesture.
He turns to my Fairy Godmother, gratitude evident in his voice. "Thank you for this incredible gift; it's more than we could have ever imagined."
My Fairy Godmother smiles warmly, her eyes twinkling. "It's my pleasure, dear ones. Your journey is just beginning, and magic will always be with you."
The Lost Princess And The Secret Baby
I watch Prince Charming carefully take the shoes from my Fairy Godmother's hands, his fingers tracing the delicate patterns embroidered on them.
He gently places them back into the box, making sure they are nestled perfectly among the silk.
The late afternoon sun catches the metallic surface of the box, casting dancing reflections across the walls of my shop.
My Fairy Godmother waves her wand in a graceful motion, adding a protective enchantment that makes the box shimmer briefly before settling into a soft glow.
Prince Charming closes the lid with a soft click, and for a moment, the three of us stand in silence, admiring the gift that represents our child's first steps into this world.
The Lost Princess And The Secret Baby
Prince Charming breaks the silence, his voice filled with wonder. "I never imagined our child would be blessed with such magic from the start."
My Fairy Godmother chuckles softly, her eyes full of wisdom. "Every child is a miracle, Charming, and this little one will have a destiny intertwined with magic and love."
I squeeze his hand, feeling a sense of peace wash over me. "With you by my side, I know we'll face whatever comes our way."
I walk to the storage area behind my shop counter, where I keep special items for celebrations and occasions.
My hands brush past rows of shoeboxes and leather samples until I find the bottle of sparkling cider I saved for important moments like this.
Prince Charming follows me, his eyes fixed on the bottle as I retrieve it.
I hand it to him, and he carefully carries it to the workbench where my Fairy Godmother is waiting.
I join them, carrying three crystal glasses that I found on a shelf in the storage room.
My Fairy Godmother waves her wand in a swift motion, clearing a space on the workbench by moving aside half-finished shoes and tools.
The bottle of sparkling cider sits in the center, its golden liquid catching the afternoon light streaming through the shop windows.
I carefully pour a small amount into each glass, watching as bubbles rise to the surface and dance in the light.
Prince Charming raises his glass, his eyes meeting mine with a tender smile. "To our future and the magic that will guide us."
My Fairy Godmother lifts her glass as well, her voice filled with warmth. "To love, family, and the adventures that await."
The Lost Princess And The Secret Baby
I clink my glass against theirs, feeling a surge of joy and hope. "To our little miracle and the journey ahead."
After our toast, I notice the afternoon sun casting long shadows through my shop windows.
I turn to Prince Charming and my Fairy Godmother with a smile.
"The sun is setting, and it's such a beautiful day. Why don't we celebrate outside? The palace gardens are just a short walk from here."
Prince Charming nods in agreement, setting his glass down on the workbench.
"That sounds perfect. Let me help you lock up the shop."
Together, we make our way to the front door, where I retrieve the keys from behind the counter.
As I unlock the door, my Fairy Godmother waves her wand once more, transforming our casual clothes into something more suitable for a stroll in the palace gardens.
I feel a soft breeze brush against my skin as my dress changes from a simple cotton gown to one of silk and lace, adorned with delicate flowers that match the colors of the sunset.
Prince Charming's attire transforms as well, his simple tunic becoming a finely embroidered coat that complements his royal status.
With our attire fitting for the occasion, we step out into the warm sunlight.
The Lost Princess And The Secret Baby
The air is filled with the sweet scent of blooming roses and the distant chirping of birds.
As we walk towards the castle grounds, I hold onto Prince Charming's arm, feeling a sense of contentment wash over me.
The weight of our secret no longer presses down on us, and we can finally embrace this new chapter in our lives. We pass by tall trees that provide shade from the fading sunlight, their leaves rustling gently in the breeze.
The path leads us through manicured hedges and vibrant flowerbeds until we reach a large stone gate that marks the entrance to the palace gardens.
As we step through the gate, I notice two small figures scurrying along the garden wall.
Jaq and Gus, my loyal mouse friends who have been by my side since childhood, peek out from behind a bush and scurry towards us.
They wear tiny hats made of leaves and twigs, their eyes shining with excitement as they join our celebration.
Prince Charming bends down to greet them, offering them pieces of fruit from his pocket.
"Welcome, Jaq and Gus. We're celebrating something special today."
Jaq squeaks happily, while Gus nods his head in understanding.

They scurry around us as we continue our stroll through the gardens.
