I have three little pony friends.
They are pink, light orange, and light yellow.
I named them Bun, Maple, and Meadow.
Bun has a bow, Maple has a scarf, and Meadow has a skirt.
I love them so much.
I always take care of them.
I brush their hair, feed them, and give them drinks.
Sometimes I take them out for a walk.
I love watching them run around and play with each other.
I have no siblings and my parents are always busy, so I don't really have anyone to talk to or play with except for my three little pony friends.
"Yay! Let's go out!" I said excitedly to my three little pony friends.
"Yay!" they all cheered in unison.
I put the pink one's bow on her, the light orange one's scarf on her, and the light yellow one's skirt on her.
Then I carried them outside to the backyard.
"Yay! Let's run!" I said excitedly to my three little pony friends.
"Yay!" they all cheered again in unison.
I put them down on the grass and watched them run around and play with each other.
Just as I was going to sit down on the bench, I heard someone say, "Ugh... What are you doing here?"
I turned my head to see who was talking to me.
The Little Princess And Her Ponies
I saw a girl standing at the fence that separated our yards.
Her nose was wrinkled like she smelled something bad.
My three ponies stopped playing and huddled behind me.
The girl's hair was in a perfect bun, and she wore a pretty dress with matching shoes.
She looked so fancy.
I was just wearing a simple sundress with no shoes on my feet.
I felt like I didn't look as nice as her.
She leaned over the fence and pointed at my ponies with her finger, which had pink nail polish on it.
"Those ratty old toys? How pathetic."
Her voice was sharp and mean.
The Little Princess And Her Ponies
I felt like she was talking down to me.
I didn't like it one bit.
I put my hands on Bun and Maple and held them tight while Meadow pressed herself against my leg. "They're not ratty," I said, but my voice sounded smaller than I wanted it to be.
The girl laughed, then turned away from me and went back into her house.
I sighed and whispered to my ponies, "Don't listen to her; you're perfect just the way you are."
The Little Princess And Her Ponies
Bun nuzzled my hand as if to say thank you, and Maple gave a little nod.
Just then, Meadow looked up at me with wide eyes and asked, "Why do people have to be so mean sometimes?"
Fighting back tears, I gathered my ponies under the old oak tree where we always have our tea parties.
I spread out our favorite checkered blanket and arranged their favorite plastic teacups.
Bun's pink bow was a little crooked from when she got upset, so I straightened it for her.
Maple and Meadow settled into their usual spots, and the afternoon sun filtered through the leaves above us.
My hands were still shaking a bit as I poured imaginary tea into their cups.
The Little Princess And Her Ponies
Meadow's skirt rustled in the breeze as she said, "Let's play 'Royal Court.' We can all be princesses."
Bun tilted her head and asked, "But what if someone tries to ruin our royal tea party again?"
Maple chimed in with a determined nod, "We'll just remind them that kindness is the true crown we wear."
I smiled at their resilience and replied, "And together, we'll make this the grandest tea party ever, no matter what anyone says."
I smooth Bun's pink bow while talking about tomorrow's tea party plans.
Maple suggests inviting the Three Little Pony Boys - Barney, Fall, and Field - who live next door.
Meadow blushes at the mention of Field's name, while Bun fidgets about seeing Barney.
I notice Maple trying to hide her excitement about Fall coming over.
We spend time arranging extra teacups and saucers in a circle and practice our curtsies.
The Little Princess And Her Ponies
We decide where everyone should sit and ask the ponies to help us pick fresh flowers for the centerpieces.
While arranging wildflowers in small vases, I catch Meadow staring dreamily at the fence that separates our yard from the boys'.
She twirls her skirt and quietly says, "Maybe after tea, we can have Field join us for a dance."
Bun gasps, dropping her bow in surprise, while Maple nearly knocks over a teacup.
I steady the cup and watch as Meadow demonstrates a simple waltz step she's been secretly practicing.
The other ponies join in, stumbling through dance moves and giggling.
The Little Princess And Her Ponies
Bun whispers, "Do you think Field will really dance with us?"
Meadow nods confidently, "I saw him practicing in his yard yesterday; I think he likes dancing too."
Maple grins and adds, "Then tomorrow's tea party will be the best one yet, with dancing and everything!"
I lead my ponies to the flattest spot in the garden near the oak tree, where we clear away fallen leaves and twigs.
Bun worries about her hooves catching on roots, so we use our paws to smooth the earth.
Maple suggests marking the edges of our dance floor with white stones from the garden path.
While collecting stones, Meadow practices her spins, accidentally knocking over a teacup.
We giggle and continue our work, placing the stones in a circle.
The Little Princess And Her Ponies
I demonstrate the proper dance steps again, showing them how to avoid tripping over the remaining tree roots.
The ponies follow my lead, though Bun still trips occasionally.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, we finished our preparations, ready to welcome tomorrow's adventures with open hearts.
After dinner, I lead my ponies back outside, carrying a small lantern to light our way to the oak tree.
Bun keeps checking her bow in the flickering light while Maple adjusts her scarf nervously.
Meadow twirls in her skirt, practicing the steps we learned earlier.
I set the lantern on a flat rock, creating a warm circle of light around our stone-marked dance floor.
Together, we practice our dance moves, our shadows stretching across the grass.
The Little Princess And Her Ponies
When Meadow trips over a root, we all pause to help her up.
Bun giggles, "Maybe Field will catch you like a prince in a fairy tale."
Meadow blushes deeper, "I wouldn't mind that at all."
Maple chimes in, "And maybe Fall will ask me to dance too; I've seen him watching us from his window."
I watch as my ponies practice their steps one final time, the twilight fading into darkness.
Meadow keeps glancing toward the fence separating our yard from the pony boys' home, nearly stumbling over her own hooves.
Bun whispers encouragement while Maple hums a gentle waltz tune.
Suddenly, we hear rustling from the bushes near the fence.
Meadow freezes mid-step, her eyes growing wide as a familiar yellow figure emerges from the shadows.
The Little Princess And Her Ponies
Field steps into the lantern light, his coat gleaming in the soft glow.
He moves with graceful confidence across our stone-marked dance floor, approaching Meadow.
I hold my breath as he draws closer, his hooves making soft impressions in the earth we so carefully prepared.
Bun clutches her bow tightly, while Maple edges backward, bumping into the tea table.
Meadow stands frozen, her skirt swaying slightly in the evening breeze.
Field stops just inches from her, and for a moment, I notice that his usual confident stride has been replaced by hesitant steps.
Behind him, shadows move near the fence - Fall and Barney peek through the bushes, watching their friend's bold move.
The Little Princess And Her Ponies
Field clears his throat, "I couldn't help but notice your dancing from my window."
Meadow's voice trembles slightly, "We were hoping you'd join us."
Field smiles softly, "I'd like that very much, if you'll have me."
