Scarlet Night's family includes her mother, father, three older brothers and two older sisters. Scarlet Night and her family fled inland and is now lives in a selement with other survivors. A climate apocalypse is where global pony civilization collapses due to severe climate change and its consequences. This Apocalyptic collapse could involve factors like famine, extreme weather, conflict, and disease. The term often implies a global catastrophe that could render parts of the Equus uninhabitable. Global Collapse of Civilization: This is a widespread breakdown of social structures, infrastructure, and systems that support Pony life. Extreme Weather Events: More frequent and intense heatwaves, droughts, floods, storms, and wildfires could disrupt agriculture, displace populations, and cause widespread destruction. Famine and Scarcity: Disruptions to food production and water resources could lead to widespread food shortages and even famine, potentially triggering social unrest. Sea Level Rise: Melting glaciers and ice sheets could lead to significant sea level rise, inundating coastal areas and displacing populations. Ecological Collapse: Changes in climate patterns could disrupt ecosystems, leading to species extinctions and biodiversity loss. Tipping Points: The crossing of certain climate thresholds could trigger irreversible and cascading effects, like the melting of permafrost or the collapse of ocean currents, with potentially devastating consequences. Potential for Conflict: Resource scarcity and environmental degradation could exacerbate existing conflicts and create new ones, leading to social unrest and violence. Disease Outbreaks: Changes in climate and ecosystems could create conditions favorable for disease outbreaks, further exacerbating the crisis. With the threat of war for the dwindling resources, the Equus is facing a irreversible climate collapse and ever creature on Equus is facing this challenge no doubt more conflict between the very kingdoms and other none pony kingdoms. There been violence in counters in big major cities and raids on towns and villages for their resources, fights in towns or villages broken out between the raiders and even many lives have been lost because of it. Everypony is now hording their food, medical supplies and water. Scarlet Night like everyone has change from a carefree to harden and dangerous pony, she won't bat an eye on killing raiders that dares to try to steal their resources. With the weather broken so is the mating seasons, no one can tell if it's the mating season or not anymore. With the return of the Primordial Pantheon and their alicorn subjects, everypony in Equestria is on high alert and watching them closely seeing if they dare to try anything. When the seven kings and queens of the Primordial Pantheon returned they was horrified to what they return to. The world is dying and so are all life on Equus and they have to find a way to reverse this or the world has they knew it will be over.
Scarlet Night and her family now lives in a selement with other survivors somewhere in the Kingdom of Equestria which is ruled by Princesses Celestia and Luna

King Fulmen has short yellow slick back mane. His fur is a Colonial White while is wings are the same color as his mane Dandelion yellow. His horn is slightly dark yellow. His eyes are heterochromia of his right eye is blue and his left eye is green. His Front are of a canine paws while his hind legs have feline paws. Spirits: A spirit is an ethereal being made of magic. No one really know where they came
from, but some suspects they're residuals of divine magic from the Primordial Pantheon.
There are entire ecosystems of spirits everywhere, and they are mainly controlled by the
Protectors (sometimes, they are a bit violent, or too numerous, and the Protectors need to
deal with them).
Familiars: They are some sort of spirit created by alicorns (generally by Harmonizers, if
the alicorn isn't a Luxian). Ventaians also have familiars, who are wild spirits captured
inside totems.
Soul Weapon: Every alicorn can, at a certain point of their life and with enough practice,
summon their Soul Weapon. It represents its owner, show who they are deep down. It can be
of many various forms and, usually, one can tell if an alicorn is a Weapon Master or a
Harmonizer depending on how their Soul Weapon looks, or it is a good indicator to know
what kind of Protector they could become.
Food & Drinks: All the food and drinks are completely and totally composed of magic.
Alicorns drink and eat to regenerate their own magic reserve.
Equesterian calendar system: In 1 full cycle, there are 7 anima: thunder, flames, light,
storm, heroic, sand and arcanic. There are 3 months of 121 days 1 in each anima. For
example, the Festival of Sorority takes place from the night of the last day of the 3rd month
of flames to the morning of the first day of the 1st month of light. Here are some random
dates to show how the Equesterian Calendar works:
•47th day of the 2nd month of sand, 2433rd cycle.
•5th day of the 1st heroic month, 2447th cycle.
•81st day of the 3rd month of flames, 2402nd cycle.
•103rd day of the 2nd arcanic month, 2491st cycle.

Fulmen: King of Thunder, ruling from the Sacred Castle of Aemna.
Ardenu: Queen of Flames, ruling from the Sacred Castle of Akasa.
Luxoah: Queen of Light, ruling from the Sacred Castle of Yueling.
Ventae: Queen of Storm, ruling from the Sacred Castle of Eskalt.
Virtus: King of Heroes, ruling from the Sacred Castle of Thaaldin.
Saburo: King of Sand, ruling from the Sacred Castle of Anub-Kera.
Python: Queen of Arcane and regent of the Primordial Pantheon, ruling from the top three
floors of the Arcanic Academy of Alykarn.
Places
Arcanic Academy of Alykarn: Known as the “AAA”, it is the most prestigious magic
academy of Equestera, located in the capital of Pythonia. It contains the largest library with
plethora of books about magic and research in many domains. Alicorns from all Kingdoms
go there to be an Academician and be able to become Harmonizers of high-rank.
Guild Inns: Alicorns who want to become Protectors gather here to obtain their license.
Usually located in or near the capitals, those are also a resting place for them, allowing
them to have their own rooms to stay the night between missions. This is also where a
Protector can take a mission from the quest board, or complete them by giving back their
missive signed and get their rewards.
A guide to the alicorns of Equestera
Fulmenians: Fulmenians bare the wings and the long spiraled horn coming up from their
foreheads that all alicorns have. Their overall appearance bears resemblance to equines,
but their other features lean towards feline or canine. However, their most defining feature
is their paws. Some Fulmenians have feline front paws and canine back paws, allowing for
much more upper body strength at the cost of speed, while others have the reverse, making
them much faster and agile, but aren't as physically strong. Their feline paws whether they
are in the front or that back always have sharp, retractable claws. Their faces tend to look
more cat-like rather than an ungulate, unlike most other species of alicorn (some even have
eyes that work similarly to cats as well, being able to go from round to tiny slits depending
on the situation). They have sharp canine teeth and long, lion-like tails. Fulmenian fur
patterns can range from a solid color, to complex markings, similar to the fur patterns of
felines and canines respectively.
Ardenians: Ardenians have the head and ears resembling a deer, the body of a horse,
cloven hooves, and the Lion-like tail the other species of alicorn have. Their horns are
rather unique, looking like one big antler coming up from their forehead. This horn is often
a different color from their fur and is covered in stripes that pulse with magic energy. Some
Ardenians have scales that travel from their horns and down the bridge of their noses. They
become more visible as they age. They all have interesting white pupils. When an Ardenians
wings are outstretched, they begin to fade into fire at the tips. All Ardenians have a rather
warm body temperature and some tend to have thicker and fluffier fur in certain places than
the other species (mostly around their necks and fetlocks). Ardenians coats are usually
warm colors, reds, yellows, and oranges. Though cooler colored ones aren't unheard of.
Luxians: Luxian’s are the closest to actual equines in appearance, aside form Pythonians.
Like all alicorns, they have wings. However their horns have a graceful curve. They have
cloven hooves and lion tails, although they are shorter, making the hair at the end longer.
They also tend to have a taller build. They are mostly light colors. Pastel blues, pinks,
purples, and sometimes the pure white. Darker Luxian's aren't impossible, but they are rare.
All Luxian's have a familiar that follows them from an early age, which appears to be a
long serpent or dragon made of pure light. Some even have wings.
Ventaians: Ventaians tend to have much thicker and fluffier fur due to the cold climate they
live in. Their build is mostly horse-like. They have a beak-like muzzle and usually have
feathered tails. Their hooves are slightly peculiar, as they are cloven on either the front or
back hooves. Ventaians often resemble many species of birds seen in today's environment,
which is why all Ventaians seem to look quite different from each other. The members of
their species are mostly female, but even though males are rare, they tend to be much more
bright and colorful, similar to birds of paradise.
Virtusians: They often have a bulky and muscular build. Their eyes are reptilian and their
large wings resemble that of dragons. Their tails are quite thick which makes them seem
lizard-like, along with their muzzles being shaped more like a reptile. Their horns are
unusual, always seeming to be made of some kind of rock, metal, or gem. Their cloven
hooves have a very long curved dew claw. All Virtusians have a transformation into a much
bigger and more powerful form called the “Draconic form”, which gives them features like
horns and claws, causing them to more closely resemble dragons. There are also four sub-
species of Virtusians, which impact the appearance of their Draconic form: the Childs of
Fafnyr (fire-type magic, 69% of the population), Childs of Gurael (ground-like magic, 18%
of the population), Childs of Saeris (wind-like magic, 10% of the population) and Childs of
Nanlean (water-like magic, 3% of the population).
Saburians: Saburians tend to be quite tall and often come in earthy colors (browns, sandy
colors, ect); however, their wings are often quite colorful compared to the rest of their
bodies. They usually have straight manes, though curly ones aren't unheard of (as the sketch
shows). They also have thick and shaggy fur around their fetlocks. Their hooves are also
very wide to make it easier to move in their sandy environment (similar to camels in real
life). Their ears, eyes, and wings are often inorganic or graphic looking (similar to how
hieroglyphs look). Lastly, they have pupils that appear to be slightly horizontal when looked
at up close.
Pythonians: They appear to be mostly equine in appearance. However, their most defining
trait is their stripes which often have graceful curves and swirls. Some of their stripes take
on more extreme shapes. Their builds are usually quite tall and their manes tend to have a
curly and dense texture. Their long horns are completely smooth and straight, unlike the
spiraled and textured horns the other races have. Their lion-like tails are always very long.
They are the only alicorn species to have odd toed hooves, akin to horses.
Primordial Pantheon
Fulmen, the King of Thunder! While he is quite pretentious and have a high-esteem of himself, he's an excellent king and leader to his people. He gives a lot of attention to details, especially when it's about the festivities in his Kingdom. Fulmen has one motto: everyone must feel like at home when they visit his kingdom. He's the only one out of the Seven to have three "royal bodyguard" (even though he's more than capable to defend himself - it's mainly to protect his people) composed by three Fulmenian priestesses, named the "Sororal Triad". He likes to be around his priestesses, to eat fruits and drink fine wine and he's quite the seducer. The Fulmenians are more often Weaponmasters than Harmonizer. Their affinities with thunder gives them the reputation to be the fastest fighters out of all the adventurers. Due to their feline/canine attributes, their two canines are a bit more prominent than the other ethnicities. Fulmen has quite a good relationship with the direct neighbor of his Kingdom, Ardenu and Python. However, he has a huge grudge against Virtus, the King of Heroes. While he has nothing against the Virtusians (even though he might be a little bit colder to the males), he can't stand Virtus at all due to personal reasons. Fulmen's Kingdom is half desert (South) and half green field (North). There is a huge mountain in the West – probably the highest of this world – surrounded by a giant thundercloud, certainly due to the presence of the King of Thunder. The sacred castle of Fulmen and capital of this Kingdom is “Aemna”, where the sky is always covered by dark thunder clouds. Ironically, the capital is quite animated and have one of the biggest market of Equestria and the Fulmenians there are happy and joyful.
The pure magic type of the Fulmenians is thunder magic. There are two kind of Fulmenians: those
with Canine front paws and Feline back paws (who are really fast and agile, but lacks of pure
strength) and those with Feline front paws and Canine back paws (who are much stronger than the
other Fulmenians, but also slower). The appearance of a Fulmenian is similar to their King, Fulmen.
There are more or less as many females (55%) as there are males (45%). While they tends to be
more often Weapon-masters, there are a lot of Fulmenian Harmonizers as well.
Ardenu, the Queen of Flames! She has a fierce temperament and is quite attached to the old tradition of her Kingdom. The Ardenians have a really good relationship with their neighbors of the East in the Luxoah's Kingdom, as the two Queens have a friendly relationship (they also both have strict laws regarding crimes by Ardenians against Luxians, and vice versa)
Ardenu's Kingdom is probably one of the most beautiful of Equestria. There is a wonderful forest of Cherry tree in the North-West. Due to the Ardenian culture, there are a lot of “red pillars” disseminated a bit everywhere around the Kingdom. There is also a volcano in the South-West, near the intersection of Ardenu’s, Fulmen’s and Python’s Kingdom, that has a giant sacred flame coming out of it. It is not hot nor dangerous, as it is there due to the presence of the Queen of Flames. The sacred castle of Ardenu and capital of this Kingdom is named “Akasa”.
The pure magic type of Ardenians is fire magic. The appearance of an Ardenian is similar to their
Queen, Ardenu. There are more or less as many females (45%) as there are males (55%). At least
70% of Ardenian Protectors are Harmonizers, specialized in spirit purification by spectral fire. The
horn of an Ardenian can have different colors, that doesn't especially match the color of their fur.
The Kingdom of Ardenu has a friendly relationship with the Kingdom of Luxoah, and there are
specific and severe laws applied to crimes committed by Ardenians against Luxians.
Ventae, the Queen of Storms! Even though she's a bit rough and don't control much her physical strength, she's really warm and welcoming to strangers. The Ventaians are quite recluse of the other population of Alicorns since they tend to live in the far north of the Kingdom, where the weather is the coldest. They have some specific traditions and beliefs regarding the spirits, which say that if an Harmonizer capture a small spirit and lock it up inside a totem, it gains the ability to protect the totem's owner, can take the form of the totem and can be used as a familiar that helps for various tasks.
Sometimes, to please their Queen, the Ventaians send to the sacred castle, Eskalt, some young stallions to keep her company. No one really knows what Ventae does with those stallions as "the tradition" wants it to be taboo. No one asks, no one knows, and it'll always be like that. Ventae's Kingdom is a matriarchy - the population is 87% female and they are hierarchically more prominent in the Ventaian culture.
About the Kingdom, it has a lot of lakes, some frozen and some that could be considered as hot spring. The weather there is windy and often snowy, or rainy at best, due to the presence of the Queen of Storms. There’s a small forest of frozen trees to the East, leading to the coast. To the South, there’s a chain of mountain separating Ventae’s Kingdom from Virtus’ Kingdom. The more you go to the North, the more snow there is. The sacred castle of Ventae and capital of this Kingdom is named “Eskalt”.
The pure magic type of Ventaians is storm magic. The appearance of a Ventaian is similar to their
Queen, Ventae. There are many more females (87%) than there are males (13%). Their muzzle
looks like some sort of beaks. There are more Harmonizers than there are Weapon-master, but the
number are more or less similar. The Ventaians are quite recluse of the other races of alicorns since
they tend to live in the far north of the Kingdom, where the weather is the coldest. They have some
specific traditions and beliefs regarding the spirits, which say that if an Harmonizer capture a small
spirit and lock it up inside a totem, it gains the ability to protect the totem's owner, can take the form
of the totem and can be used as a familiar that helps for various tasks.
While Virtusia (Virtus' Kingdom) and Thaaldin seems to be dark or evil, that isn't the case at all - actually, it's quite a paradise for the virtusians living there (though other species might find the environment a bit rough to live in).
Even though the words "young" and "old" don't mean much regarding the Primordial Pantheon considering how ancient they are, Virtus looks like being the oldest members of them (after Python). While being neutral to all the other Kings and Queens, he acts like the Protector and Knight of Python. The trust between those two is unwavering - no matter the subject, he'll always take her side. As a King, he's fair to his people and all Virtusians highly respect him. He's also at the head of the Central Guild Inn, located in Thaaldin, and presides the Protectors Coliseum Championship, where Protectors can hope for rank promotion there. While Virtus is revered by his people, he's also a bit feared as deemed extremely serious and severe about any topic - would it be something grave or simply discussing which beer is better. Ventae is the only one from the Primordial Pantheon to have some sort of positive relationship with Virtus, since she always try to joke with him (even though he never really laugh at anything). Regarding the hate Fulmen has towards him, Virtus understands where he comes from. He also let Fulmen strike him with his artifact charged with thunder - giving him the scar he has from the neck to his left jaw. While justified, Virtus deemed this act childish. The only words he gave to Fulmen was "He's a curse" which caused Fulmen to try to attack him once more, but was stopped by Python. Many cycles have to pass before Fulmen and Virtus met again. Since then, they keep discussion to the strict minimum.
Virtus' Kingdom It is the exact opposite of Ventae’s Kingdom. This land have a lot of volcanoes and lava lakes. Most of the ground is made of rocks. However, while it isn’t especially live-friendly, there is – in the South near the coast – a beautiful forest of multicolored crystals. The one who descends from the King of Heroes have an immunity against the heat and eat crystals (explaining some small crystal farms). If there are other alicorn species living in Virtusia, they probably all live in Thaalding, where the heat is bearable by most.
The sacred castle of Virtus and capital of this Kingdom is “Thaaldin”. While this city seems scary from far away and that Virtusians are a bit rough, one would notice they're quite welcoming and their Guild Inns serve a huge variety of beer, coming from all of Equestria.
The pure magic type of Virtusians is heroic magic – their magic focuses on magic buffs, enhancing
their physical abilities, as well as creating golden ethereal weapons. The appearance of a Virtusian
is similar to their King, Virtus. They have a slightly draconic appearance, having some scales here
and there on their body. They also have a draconic form, a bit bigger and more muscular than their
original form. There are more males (70%) than females (30%). Most of the Virtusians are Weapon-
masters, as they're usually more focused on pure strength and battle. They are usually bigger than
the other races of alicorns.
The pure magic type of Pythonians is Arcane magic – this is a very specific kind of magic, since it
allows them to use any of the other six types of magic (though much more limited). The appearance of a Pythonian is similar to their Queen, Python. The curved stripes they have all over their body is like their magic circuits, the shapes varies depending on their magic affinities and can eventually, really lightly, "glow" a bit when they activate a lot of pure magic, or something similar. Unlike most other alicorn species, Pythonians don't have cloven hooves, instead they just have normal horse hooves. Most of them are generally a little smaller than the other races. They have smooth horns, so no spiraled horns. There are more or less as many females (50%) as there are males (50%). Most of Pythonian Protectors are Harmonizers, since a lot of them are Academicians and researchers in magic. Plus, their ability to use any kind of the six pure magic is really helpful in magic research.
The pure magic type of Saburians is sand magic. The appearance of a Saburian is similar to their
King, Saburo. There are more or less as many females (55%) as there are males (45%). At least
60% of Saburian Protectors are Harmonizers, mostly specialized in healing magic. The Saburians
are known to be very knowledgeable about the environment and the world, that is entirely made of
magic, and some Saburians focus their researches on "magic reconstitution", using their pure magic to "repair" things.
The pure magic type of Luxians is light magic. The appearance of a Luxian is similar to their
Queen, Luxoah. There are more or less as many females (60%) as there are males (40%). At least
60% of Luxian Protectors are Harmonizers, specialized in familiars of light (coatl/winged snake).
The specificity of Luxians is that they all have their "Spirit of Light" with them, a familiar that
follows them from their early age: it looks like a small flying snake / dragon / coatl. Luxians have
usually always a very light fur. The Kingdom of Luxoah has a friendly relationship with the
Kingdom of Ardenu, and there are specific and severe laws applied to crimes committed by Luxians
against Ardenians.

go there to be an Academician and be able to become Harmonizers of high-rank.
Scarlet Night
She is a young unicorn living in a postapocalyptic Equestria. She is resilient, curious, and determined. Scarlet experiences the harsh effects of climate change, such as droughts and storms, while exploring the world. She discovers an abandoned city and meets other survivors, including a group of wolves. As she grows up, she learns about her lineage and the significance of her blood, which is sought after for its healing properties, leading to encounters with dangerous factions.
Older Unicorn
He is a mysterious unicorn who appears after Scarlet's father disappears. He is wise, enigmatic, and authoritative. The older unicorn provides guidance to Scarlet and Stardust, revealing to them that their father had been part of a secret group protecting Equestria from ancient powers. He tasks Thunderbolt with watching over the sisters until they understand their roles in the world's balance and restoration. The older unicorn's presence signifies change in Scarlet's life and introduces themes of legacy and responsibility.
Stardust
She is Scarlet's younger sister and a fledgling unicorn. She is playful, innocent, and adventurous. Stardust looks up to her older sister, joining her on explorations across the barren landscape. Despite the harsh environment, she remains hopeful and cheerful. Her relationship with Scarlet is close, often seeking protection and guidance from her sister. Stardust's innocence provides contrast to the harsh realities they face, keeping Scarlet grounded and reminding her of the importance of family.
The year is 2434 of the Equestrian calendar.
It has been five hundred and fifty years since the technological advancements started to take place.
Over the years roads from cities down to the villages have been made better for travel.
Trains are far more safer now then they were back in the past.
Homes and businesses have gone from being made of stone to something a lot more stable.
There has been talk about starting a moon colony, but nothing has come of it yet.
Every home now has electricity instead of candles.
No more thatch roofing's on homes, they are now replaced with something a lot more durable.
Electronics are common now, where back in the day they weren't as much.
Medical care has advanced over the years, helping those who are sick or going to have foals.
With the medical care advancing, pony lifespan has gone up.
Unwanted pregnancies have decreased, thanks to preventions, and foal care has also improved for those who are single mothers or fathers.
Cities down to the villages have changed over the years with buildings being torn down and new ones being built in their place.
The east coast of Equestria is where I was born and raised in a town called Tharo, which is about twenty-five miles from the ocean.
My family consists of my mother, father, three older brothers, two older sisters, and a younger sister named Stardust.
I walk down Main Street, where construction crews are dismantling the last stone storefront on the block.
The old bakery's weathered facade crumbles as machines carefully pull it apart, revealing modern steel beams beneath.
Workers in hard hats guide hovering cranes that lift away debris.
Across the street, the newly finished hospital gleams with its glass walls and solar panels.
The contrast between old and new strikes me - I remember buying sweet rolls from that bakery as a filly.
A worker waves as I pass, and I notice the company logo on his vest matches the one on the sleek office building that went up last month.
I approach the hospital entrance, my hooves clicking on the polished floor tiles.
The automatic doors slide open, and the antiseptic smell hits my nostrils.
Inside, screens display patient wait times and medical information.
Unicorn doctors hurry past with floating tablets, their horns glowing as they access files.
At the reception desk, a tired-looking earth pony types on a computer.
In the waiting area, a mother comforts her coughing foal, both wearing protective masks.
The sight reminds me of when Stardust had pneumonia last winter.
"Do you remember how scared we were back then?" I ask, taking a seat beside the mother.
She nods, her eyes weary but kind. "I do, and I heard they're finally opening the moon colony hospital next year."
"Really?" I reply, surprised. "I thought that was just a rumor."
I lean against the wall, recounting the story of how Stardust was cured.
"The doctors used something called magical infusion therapy. It cleared her lungs in just a few days."
The mother's eyes widen.
"Really? I've never heard of that."
I nod.
"They used targeted spells to break down the infection and monitored her with special crystals. It was amazing to watch."
The mother shakes her head in amazement.
"I wish they had that when our parents were young. So many ponies suffered from pneumonia back then."
Her foal coughs again, and I notice the same feverish look Stardust had.
I pull out my datapad and show the mother some recordings from Stardust's treatment.
The graphs and charts scroll past on the screen as I explain how the hospital's AI system adjusted the magical frequencies to combat the infection.
The mother leans closer, eyes fixed on the datapad.
"Do you think they could do the same for my little one?" she asks, hope mingling with desperation in her voice.
I nod reassuringly. "Absolutely, I'll speak to one of the doctors and see if they can start the treatment right away."
I catch the attention of a passing unicorn doctor in blue scrubs, her horn glowing as she levitates multiple charts.
"Excuse me," I say, gesturing to the worried mother and feverish foal.
"This little one needs magical infusion therapy urgently."
I describe the symptoms I observed, comparing them to Stardust's case.
The doctor nods, her horn scanning the foal with diagnostic magic while I pull up Stardust's treatment records on my datapad.
The mother watches anxiously as we discuss dosage levels and crystal configurations.
We follow the doctor down the pristine hospital corridor to the infusion ward.
The treatment room is filled with crystalline arrays and hovering magical monitors.
Nurses in white coats prep the foal for the infusion, their movements swift and efficient.
I describe how the treatment worked for Stardust, and the mother's tension eases slightly.
The doctor calibrates the crystal frequencies, explaining each step as she goes.
When the first magical pulse flows through the arrays, bathing the room in soft light, I watch as the foal's labored breathing begins to steady.
The mother squeezes my hoof, her eyes brimming with gratitude.
I lean over the control panel beside the infusion bed, studying the crystal frequency readouts.
The numbers flicker on the screen, reminding me of the charts Stardust's doctors had shown me.
Her treatment started at 7.3 MHz before they increased it to 8.1 MHz on the third day to target the infection more effectively.
I point this out to the attending physician, showing her the archived data on my datapad.
She considers my suggestion, nodding thoughtfully as she adjusts the crystal array's resonance.
The foal's vital signs are displayed on a monitor above the bed, and I watch as its breathing becomes deeper and more regular with each passing minute.
I stand at the infusion bed, watching the vital signs strengthen on the monitor while the doctor reviews the final readings.
The crystal arrays pulse with a soft blue glow, their frequencies perfectly aligned at 8.1 MHz.
When the doctor announces that the infection is clearing, I see tears fill the mother's eyes.
She wraps her forelegs around me in a tight embrace, whispering "thank you" over and over.
I pat her back awkwardly, remembering how my mother had reacted when Stardust finally recovered.
"It's not just the treatment," I say gently, pulling back slightly.
"Your love and care made all the difference."
The mother nods, her voice trembling as she replies, "I couldn't have done it without you guiding us."
I lean over the control panel, my horn glowing softly as I carefully adjust the crystal frequency dial.
The readout climbs steadily - 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 MHz.
The foal's vital signs remain stable on the overhead display, their breathing growing stronger with each increment.
At 8.4 MHz, the crystal arrays pulse with a brighter blue light, filling the room with an intense magical energy.
The doctor nods in approval, her eyes shining with a mix of fascination and hope.
I make the final adjustment, bringing the frequency to 8.5 MHz.
The crystals hum at their new resonance while the foal's breathing becomes even deeper and more regular.
I make a few final adjustments, watching as the numbers stabilize on the screen.
The foal's chest rises and falls in a steady rhythm now, their fever breaking visibly as sweat beads on their forehead.
The mother leans forward anxiously, her eyes darting between her child and the vital sign monitors.
The doctor steps closer to examine the readouts, running a diagnostic spell over the foal's body.
After several tense moments, she nods and turns to us with a smile.
"The infection has cleared completely," she announces.
The room fills with a collective exhale, a moment of shared relief.
I lean back from the crystal controls, and the foal's eyes flutter open.
Their mother gasps, rushing forward to nuzzle them gently.
Tears stream down her face as she whispers words of love and comfort.
The foal offers a weak smile, their pale features illuminated by the soft glow of the crystals.
They reach a small hoof towards their mother, and she takes it in hers, holding on tightly.
I step aside to give them space, but I keep my eyes fixed on the crystal readouts.
The vital signs continue to strengthen, a testament to the power of the treatment.
The doctor performs one final diagnostic spell, casting a green light over the foal's body.
It washes over them like a soothing balm, and I watch as their breathing becomes even more steady.
The mother holds them close, whispering softly into their ear.
The foal snuggles deeper into her embrace, their eyes closing once more in contentment.
The crystal arrays hum softly for a moment longer before powering down with a gentle click.
I linger near the doorway of the infusion ward, watching as the mother cradles her recovered foal in her arms.
The nurses carefully disconnect the crystal arrays, their movements gentle and efficient.
The foal's eyes flutter open once more, and they look up at me with a weak but grateful smile.
I offer a smile of my own, remembering the countless times I've seen this same moment in my own family's past.
Stardust's face comes to mind, her smile weak but determined after her treatments.
I turn to leave, but a nurse approaches me with a stack of papers.
"Here are the discharge papers," she says softly.
"The mother will need to follow these instructions for aftercare."
I take the papers from her and nod my thanks.
As I approach the mother and foal, I notice that they're both watching me with a mix of gratitude and curiosity.
I hand her the papers and explain the instructions in simple terms, making sure she understands each step.
She nods eagerly, her eyes filled with relief and thankfulness.
"Thank you so much," she says, her voice filled with emotion.
"I don't know what I would have done without your help."
I smile again and shake my head.
"It was my pleasure," I say.
"Just make sure to follow those instructions closely. Your foal will be back to full strength in no time." She nods once more, her eyes shining with tears.
"I can't repay you enough," she says, reaching into her pocket to pull out a small pouch of coins.
I hold up a hoof to stop her, shaking my head again.
"No need," I say gently.
"Just seeing your foal recover is reward enough for me."
She looks at me in surprise, then nods slowly in understanding.
"Very well," she says softly.
"But if there's anything I can do for you in return..."
I consider for a moment before responding.
"If you ever need any help or advice on crystal resonance therapy," I say with a smile, "feel free to reach out to me."
She nods eagerly once more, pulling out her datapad to exchange contact information with me.
I pause at the doorway of the infusion ward, looking back one last time.
The small foal is still bundled in the medical blankets, their eyes fixed on me with a mix of hope and curiosity.
For a moment, I'm taken back to when Stardust was ill, her eyes shining with the same determination to get better.
I turn and walk back to the bedside, pulling out my own datapad from my pocket.
I open a photo album and show them pictures of my garden back home, explaining how I grow all sorts of medicinal herbs there.
The mother leans in closer, her eyes widening as she sees the variety of plants.
"Those look like they could be very helpful," she says softly.
I nod, flipping through more photos.
"Yes, they are," I reply.
"I use them to make remedies for all sorts of ailments."
The foal's eyes light up at this, and they reach out a hoof to touch the screen.
"Can you show us more?" they ask in a weak but eager voice. I smile and continue flipping through the photos, pointing out different plants and explaining what each one is used for.
The mother listens intently, asking questions whenever something catches her interest.
As we look through the photos together, I notice that the foal seems particularly fascinated by one type of plant - a purple flower with delicate petals that blooms only under certain conditions.
I tell them about how I cultivate those flowers in my garden, using them to make remedies for injuries and illnesses.
The foal's eyes widen even more at this, and they lean forward eagerly.
"Can we see some of those flowers?" they ask softly.
I hesitate for a moment before responding.
"Well," I say slowly, "I don't have any with me right now. But if you'd like, I could bring some next time I visit."
The foal's face lights up at this promise, and they nod eagerly once more.
The mother smiles warmly at me, her eyes filled with gratitude.
"That would mean so much to us," she says softly.
I nod, feeling a sense of purpose renewed within me.
I freeze at the infusion ward controls, my hooves hovering over the buttons as the emergency lights flash red and sirens pierce the air.
The mother clutches her foal closer, her eyes wide with fear as she looks around.
The other patients and staff glance at each other in confusion, wondering what's happening.
Through the window, I see dark storm clouds gathering unnaturally fast over Tharo's skyline.
The crystal arrays begin to fluctuate wildly, their blue glow turning an angry purple.
I quickly power down the treatment systems before they can destabilize further.
The doctor rushes in, shouting orders for an immediate evacuation of the ward.
The storm outside intensifies, casting an ominous shadow over the city as chaos erupts within the ward.
I rush the mother and foal through the crowded corridor, keeping them close as panicked patients push past us.
The emergency lights cast an eerie red glow over everything while the storm rages on outside, rattling the windows.
I spot a wheelchair by the nurses' station and quickly grab it, helping the weakened foal settle in while their mother grips the handles tightly.
The closest emergency exit is blocked by fallen ceiling tiles, so I lead them down a side hallway I remember from Stardust's stays.
Thunder crashes overhead, causing us to flinch as we make our way through the deserted corridors.
I lead them down a dimly lit maintenance corridor, my horn glowing just enough to light the way.
The emergency exit sign flickers ahead, and we follow it until we reach a steel door.
A small window lets us see the covered ambulance bay - our best chance for shelter.
The foal whimpers as another thunderclap rattles the building.
I push the wheelchair while projecting a weak shield spell above us to keep debris from falling on our heads.
When we reach the door, I have to throw my whole weight against it to force it open against the howling wind.
I strain against the heavy steel door as another thunderclap shakes the building.
Just when I think I can't hold it any longer, a gray-coated paramedic appears on the other side, grabbing the handle and helping me wrench it open.
He ushers us inside quickly, glancing down the corridor before sealing the door behind us.
"This way," he whispers urgently, leading us across the ambulance bay to a concealed panel in the floor.
The mother clutches her foal tightly as we watch him press a hidden button, revealing steep stairs descending into darkness.
"Where does this lead?" the mother asks, her voice trembling with a mix of fear and hope.
"It's an old storm shelter," the paramedic replies, urgency lacing his words. "But there's something else—I've heard whispers that it connects to the city's forgotten tunnels."
I descend first, my horn's blue glow casting shadows on the concrete walls of the narrow stairwell.
The sick foal whimpers as their mother carries them down behind me, while the paramedic takes up the rear.
The steps are worn and slick with moisture, forcing me to test each one before proceeding.
Twenty steps down, I detect the musty scent of old tunnels.
A distant rumble of thunder reaches us, muffled by layers of earth above.
The mother pauses, her eyes wide with realization.
"Could those tunnels lead us out of the city?" she asks, hope creeping into her voice.
The paramedic nods, his expression serious. "If the maps I've seen are right, they could be our best shot at escaping unnoticed."
I study the worn map spread across a metal crate in the dim tunnel.
My horn's blue light reveals faded lines that show a network of maintenance tunnels beneath Tharo, with one route marked in red ink leading west.
The paramedic points to recent markings indicating collapsed sections and flooded areas we must avoid.
The sick foal peers over their mother's shoulder as I trace our planned escape path with my hoof.
