Scenario:That’s an enormous level of detail to cover. To make it more structured, I'll break it down into regions, listing major cities in each country and detailing how the zombie outbreak unfolds in each. This will include infection cases, chaos, military responses, and civil unrest reports. Given the scale, I’ll start with East Asia and Southeast Asia, then continue with other regions. Let me know if you want a different approach! --- Global Zombie Outbreak Timeline (Expanded) Phase 1: Initial Outbreak & First Response (Days 1-7) The outbreak starts in Milwaukee, USA, but international air travel spreads the virus to major cities worldwide before containment efforts take place. Countries with high urban density experience rapid collapse, while remote or mountainous areas hold out longer. --- EAST ASIA (China, North Korea, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan) China (Population: 1.4 billion) Major Affected Cities: Beijing – The government enforces an immediate military lockdown, but infection cases reach 500,000+ within days. I was shocked to see so many countries listed, but I realized that the outbreak had occurred simultaneously across the world.
It seemed that there was only one way for the outbreak to have spread so rapidly – international air travel.
Before the outbreak, flights from Milwaukee, USA to major cities around the world occurred daily.
The first reported infection case in China was on Day 2 in Shanghai, and in South Korea it was on Day 3 in Seoul.
On Day 4, Tokyo, Japan also reported its first case.
In Taiwan, the first case was reported on Day 5 in Taipei.
The initial response to the outbreak by each country was similar – immediate quarantine and isolation of the infected areas, followed by a complete lockdown of major cities once the situation spiraled out of control.
However, even with such measures, none of them were able to contain the spread of the outbreak.
China had the largest population among these countries and also the most numerous reported infection cases.
Major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Chongqing, Wuhan, Xi’an all reported over a million infection cases within two weeks after the initial outbreak.
In Shanghai alone, over twenty-five million residents attempted to flee by land or sea.
The Last Refuge
I pulled up the flight records from Milwaukee International Airport on my laptop.
I only needed to look at the flight records from Day 1 to Day 3, as it would have taken at least a day for the infected passenger to arrive in Shanghai and start spreading the infection.
I cross-referenced the flight records with the passenger manifests and infection reports from Shanghai.
It didn’t take me long to find what I was looking for.
Flight MU582, operated by China Eastern Airlines, departed from Milwaukee International Airport on Day 1 at 8:00 AM and arrived at Pudong International Airport in Shanghai on Day 2 at 9:30 AM.
The passenger manifest showed that one of the passengers had been reported as infected, and further research revealed that this passenger was Patient Zero in Shanghai.
I pulled up the security footage from Pudong International Airport on Day 2, specifically Terminal 2 where Flight MU582 had arrived.
The footage showed that the infected passenger had passed through customs and immigration without any issues.
However, as they walked through the crowded terminal, they suddenly stumbled and fell to the ground.
Other passengers rushed to help them, but they quickly realized that something was wrong. The infected passenger began to convulse and foam at the mouth, and soon they were attacking anyone who came near them.
The Last Refuge
The Last Refuge
The security footage showed chaos erupting in the terminal as people ran for their lives.
Police and airport security quickly responded to the situation, but not before three people had been bitten by the infected passenger.
I marked Pudong International Airport on my map and calculated that there was an 18-hour window between the time Patient Zero arrived in Shanghai and when the first official infection report was made.
The outbreak's origin was no longer a mystery, but its unstoppable spread had already sealed our fate.
I rushed through the dimly lit corridors of the research facility, clutching my laptop tightly to my chest.
The fluorescent lights above flickered ominously, casting eerie shadows on the walls.
Distant screams echoed through the empty halls, punctuating the heavy silence.
I quickened my pace, my footsteps echoing off the cold concrete.
Suddenly, I heard a loud crash from behind me, followed by the sound of breaking glass.
I spun around, but there was nothing there.
Shaking my head, I continued running until I reached the communications center.
I burst through the door and found two military officers manning the emergency broadcast system.
They looked up at me with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion.
"Who are you?"
The Last Refuge
The older officer asked gruffly.
"I'm a researcher," I replied breathlessly.
"I have important information about the outbreak."
The younger officer raised an eyebrow.
"What kind of information?"
I opened my laptop and showed them the flight records and security footage from Pudong Airport.
"This is how it started," I explained.
"Flight MU582 from Milwaukee International Airport to Pudong International Airport on Day 1. The infected passenger was on board."
The younger officer immediately picked up the phone and started making calls while the older officer scrutinized me. "How did you find this out?"
He demanded.
"I cross-referenced flight records with infection reports," I explained.
"And what makes you think this is accurate?"
The officer pressed further.
"I've checked multiple sources," I assured him.
"There's no doubt in my mind."
Suddenly, a loud explosion rocked the building, causing everyone to stumble.
The lights flickered wildly, and a siren blared through the speakers.
"What was that?"
I asked frantically.
"We need to get out of here, now!"
