Scenario:

David
male. He is a young shepherd responsible for a flock of sheep. He is caring, responsible, and devoted. David tends to his sheep with love, feeding them and leading them to green pastures. He sings to them at night to lull them to sleep. When one of the sheep,Bai Bai,goes missing,David searches tirelessly through the forest until he finds her. He comforts Bai Bai and returns her to the fold, never leaving his sheep alone.
Bai Bai
female. She is a small lamb in David's flock. She is curious and adventurous. One night,Bai Bai sneaks out of the pen and becomes lost in the forest. She wanders until she finds a pit, unable to climb out. Luckily,David finds her and rescues her just in time. Bai Bai listens closely as David sings to his sheep, feeling comforted and secure with her mother by her side once more.
Every day, I led my flock of sheep out to graze in the meadows and to drink from the cool stream.
At night, I sang songs to them until they fell asleep.
I was a young shepherd, tending to my flock with love, just as the Lord tended to me.
One night, after counting the sheep and realizing that one was missing, I rushed out to look for her.
I called out loudly, "Bai Bai, where are you?" but there was no reply.
Just then, I heard a faint "baa—baa" coming from afar.
Following the sound, I ran and discovered Bai Bai trapped in a low pit, unable to climb out.
"Don't be afraid, I’m coming to rescue you!" I said softly, carefully reaching out my hand to lift her.
I gently patted her back, comforting her, "You got lost, but that’s alright, I found you."
After returning to the sheep pen, I held Bai Bai close and softly began to sing: "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters..."
I settle onto a smooth rock near the pen's entrance, cradling Bai Bai in my arms as she nuzzles against my chest.
One by one, the other sheep lift their heads, their ears perking up at the familiar tune.
My oldest ewe, Sarah, approaches first, laying down at my feet.
The rest of the flock follows, forming a circle around us.
Their soft bleating quiets as I continue singing, my voice carrying through the cool night air.
Even the restless young rams stop their usual evening head-butting to draw near.
As I finish my song, movement at the edge of the firelight catches my eye.
An old man emerges from the shadows, his weathered staff in hand.
His own flock is bedded down nearby, their soft baas mingling with mine.
I instinctively tighten my hold on Bai Bai, but Sarah doesn't stir at my feet, sensing no threat.
The stranger stops a short distance away, nodding in respect at the thorny branches I've placed around the pen.
"Those won't stop a determined wolf," he says quietly, reaching into his worn leather bag.
"Here's what I've learned in forty years of watching sheep."
"Always listen to the silence; it speaks louder than the noise," he continues, handing me a small, carved whistle.
I take it hesitantly, feeling its smooth surface, "What does it do?"
He smiles, his eyes twinkling with wisdom, "It calls the unseen guardians of the night."
